These things:

The damn packages are vacuum sealed. You can't shake the powder down so you always spill some of the shit when opening them. Fuck you Nestle! I hope this gets patched soon.

PATCH MESSAGE
*Nestle Carnation Hot Cocoa Mix single serving packages now have air pockets for less messy cocoa powder removal*

Envelopes need to be patched so that they do not require spit to seal. There is very little that grosses me out more than when someone hands me a freshly slimed envelope. As if I want to touch their tongue juice.

Along those same lines.. people who lick their fingers before picking up a piece of paper or a sack to hand to you (especially when it is a grocery sack) need to be removed from the game.

Oh and chocolate / cheese / fried foods need to be patched so that their calories are removed.

Thanks!

Speaking of envelopes, you hear about that chick that licked an envelope, cut her tongue on it and a few weeks later went to the doc because it had become infected? Doc found a roach growing in the cut. They lay eggs on that sticky stuff you lick when their in the factories. Mmm-mm good.

While this may be true.. it has yet to stop people from using the licking kind. I don't like associating with the spit of strangers. You never know where their mouths have been.

There is not enough free space in the package. Opening it a touch does nothing but spill a little powder.

I suppose if you have the time to delicately make a surgical incision in the package you wouldn't spill any cocoa but I'm on the ten second cocoa plan. I go into the break room, grab a large styro cup and put a few icecubes in it, take two cocoa packages and rip them open as fast as possible pouring them into the cup and then use the hot water from the industrial coffee maker to fill the cup. I want to be in and out of there in as little time as possible otherwise I have to make small talk with people that bother me : ) Sooooo, to save the maid some clean up time, I'd like a cocoa package that doesn't blow up on me when I open it rapidly.

Think of Legally Blond's Bend and Snap...I want to Grab, Rip and Pour speedy like. A little air pocket in the package is all I'm asking for. That way you can give it a quick shake holding the top and then rip away.

Have you considered using hot cocoa with mini marshmallows? I have found the marshmallows allow more room in the packet and a bit more air for some reason...easy to shake down. Also, this provides yummy sweetness after the marshmallows melt...also good in coffee for some strange reason :P

Thanks! I finally bought the marshmallow Nestle packages and they are a joy to open. A light shake of the package is all that's needed to free up roughly five percent of the length of the package on top for spill free tearing. At home, I put whipped cream from a can on top off my Hot Chocolate and thought the marshmallows would interfere. That turned out not to be the case.

Dunno about the US, but here in Canada you can call a taxi and have them go pick up stuff for you and deliver it to your home, including all forms of alchohol. Just costs normal cab fare from when the cabbie gets out of his car to pick up the first item till they arrive at your door, or 11 bucks, whichever is higher. Plus the cost of whatever you ordered of course.

If you're drunk and cant drive you can even get taxis to drive your car home for you if you like. Costs you triple the usual fare, but you can do it. :)

Were you using the marshmallow Swiss Miss? I've had 100% success rate with spill free opening of Swiss Miss Marshmallow Hot Cocoa packages in this box I picked up a week ago. It's been about a year so the word may have gotten back to the package designers about the poor design. This package alteration won't be forgotten when the time comes to buy more cocoa!

I have bought a few different kinds of the self adhesive envelopes, and have not had good experiences with them, I almost always have to end up taping them cause the adhesive doesnt hold together well at all. If they refined the technology it would be a great idea though !
