I would absolutely love to be a writer/narrator for those Discovery channel science shows.
I get a kick out of taking a scientific subject and explaining it in layman's language.
I get a bigger kick out of watching peoples' faces after they understand what I'm trying to explain.
Adex' guide to special relativity
Adex' guide to standing wave theory
Adex' guide to AC power distribution
Adex' guide to EM radiation
Adex' guide to understanding calculus
Adex' guide to understanding gate logic
etc...
I could just imagine creating little video shorts VISUALLY showing how electrical current bumps along from atom electron shell to shell, or how AC current jiggles back and forth. I could show analogies of how the energy from electrons pushing back and forth is tapped and transfered into your ceiling fan spinning. I'd love to produce a video short that shows how an astronomer noting minute shifts in color of a star can determine if a planet is orbiting it or not.
I would LOVE to produce or be a part of TV shows like that.

Comedy writer...Not even sure what one does to become a comedy writer. Im guessing you have to have the comedian background or a rich hollywood dad.
Course, not sure how many soccer moms would like watching a sitcom about a handicaped guy whos married to a blind lady and have a son named little rico. =)

Adex, ever hear of a book called "Alice in Quantumland?" Explains quantum physics using the Alice in Wonderland story as a vehicle. Creative, amusing, and even cute as hell at times (the little atom particles at the beginning are hysterical). Sounds like something you would like.

I guess I should have mad it clear that I'm looking for CAREER options. In other words, you have to work. Who wouldn't want to be independently wealthy if given that option.

Drummer in a rock band that earns enough to keep me and the other band members alive and keep petrol in the tour van.

It'd be pretty tough to beat what I do now.
Hrm...I think saying being the Veeshan GM again would be a cop-out.
Well, dang. I guess if I could do anything I'd play pro football, but I'd probably only be able to play 2 years before my knees gave out. (Hence why I quit.)
Something a little more realistic? I'd be a fiction writer. The stuff I write is a bit Stephen King, a bit Terry Pratchett, and a lot of Tolkien/CS Lewis. I've always planned on writing a Fantasy murder mystery. Just to see if I could do it.

I'd have to say I'm pretty darn happy where I am at the moment though.

When I Grow Up: Smoke Jumper or Geologist
I've seen several people wishing they were archaelogists. This is what my wife does, and I pity anyone going into the field. She's constantly covered in poison ivy and works in all sorts of conditions. Granted, she's doing what she wants, but sometimes I wonder. And the pay sucks... but money isn't everything.
