According to the BBC, it will.

I just dont get it. Halo 2 was hardly any better technically than halo 1. why the hell would it need vista? Oh yeah, Microsoft needs people to have SOME reason to get vista. Pretty sad they have to use a game to push it.

a major portion of vista is it's focus on gaming. of course MS is going to want killer apps for it.

Im sure there will be workarounds to run it on XP. It will probably just stop you at the installer if you try to put it on any windows OS other than vista.

Seems like a good way to tank the PC sales of Halo 2 for no real benefit to either company.

It's not like MS sells Windows to consumers, unless they buy it with their PC. Corporate aren't going to give a crap about Halo 2.
