The Fox is guarding the Hen House
Can you fucking believe this shit?
What I want to know is, does the GOP even give a shit about the mid term elections at this point or what? So much for cleaning up corruption....

War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
Dwight Eisenhower

The football is in play. I repeat, the football is in play.
"There is at least as much need to curb the cruel greed and arrogance of part of the world of capital, to curb the cruel greed and violence of part of the world of labor, as to check a cruel and unhealthy militarism in international relationships." -Theodore Roosevelt

You don't take an accused (but not yet convicted) pedophile and make him teach kindergarden. But sure, he hasn't been convicted yet, let him handle the money!Boogahz wrote:I am guessing it was because he was on the committee before, and we supposedly have this little saying "innocent until proven guilty." Personally I think he's scum, but I cannot think of one politician that isn't in some way.

Yea the Democrats weren't the greatest when they controlled the Senate but the stuff they did verses the crap today makes them look like Boy Scouts.

Boehner, Delay's replacement as speaker of the house, is currently renting an apartment from 2 lobbyists, for $1000/month less than other apartments in the neighborhood rent for. But then, when he was elected, there were more votes cast than republicans in the house. So I guess lieing, taking bribes and vote tampering are just in their blood.
I'm supposed to take your word for this?Tangurena wrote:Boehner, Delay's replacement as speaker of the house, is currently renting an apartment from 2 lobbyists, for $1000/month less than other apartments in the neighborhood rent for. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 01913.htmlBoehner's monthly rent appears to be similar to other rentals of two-bedroom English basement apartments close to the House side of the Capitol in Southeast, based on a review of apartment listings
