Favorite Super Bowl Ad

Post by Fairweather Pure »

This thread is reserved, but so far I'm going with the Burger King ad with the dancers! It's not even Half Time, so I may change my mind. Overall, I'm happy to see humor taking the main stage again. Was it last years that wwas almost humorless or the year before?

A couple of the Bud commercials were pretty good, but overall I would call the commercials pretty weak this year.

fuck the commercials.. how about the first pitt touchdown that wasn't even a touchdown? or the first seahawks touchdown pass that wasn't offensive pass interference? or all the other penalties called that fucked the seahawks over. that game was horribly called.

Gotta go with the MacGiver Master Card one, myself.

Honorable mention, the one in the hospital where they kill the fly with the shockpad: the look on the little girl's face was priceless (would have put it first, but, alas, I dont remember what they were selling, heh).

By the way, that Burger King one was just way too twisted.

It was the third quarter before I remembered that the game was on. I promptly crawled over to the bathroom and puked my guts out.

FedEx, definitely. The ending was good.

But Richard Dean Anderson, outta nowhere. That was hilarious, him at the store prepping for whatever he would need.

Hmm i didn't read the post subject??
fuck the commercials
thats what i thought about the subject... there were only 3 or 4 good commercials, but nothing in comparison to prior superbowls.

And i actually thought this was a decent superbowl, however, it would have been better if it was called correctly.

My vote goes for the Fedex caveman one.

Miller did have a commercial. It was the one where the 3 roomates have an "intervention" with the 4th roomate, and then he opens the door to his super hot girlfriend....all of which came to him because he started buying Miller Lite!!! You don't remember the commercial, because it was fucking terrible.

just an fyi, pushing off IS pass interference, that was very clear, now kindly shut the fuck up and post your whiney little bitch comments in the sports forum and realize that the seachickens play a weak schedule in the weakest division in football and away from seattle they suck... at best.

Also, the one where the guy decks the girl who catches the football -- "You were open and now YOU ARE CLOSED."

That, and the one where the guy installs a revolving wall to hide his fridge full of beer, only to have the guys on the other side steal it all.

I agree. Miller beer commercials are lame. Budweiser could still be running Spuds MacKenzie commercials and be better off than Miller's big dog bashing strategy.

The magic fridge one had the whole place laughing. Especially when they were worshipping the little table at the end.

While I appreciate the Stones' music, they need to stop performing live. Isn't there anyone with broad appeal from like the last 10 or 20 years? Or they could have at least done like a Motown tribute at halftime instead of before the game. I thought that whole Stevie Wonder thing before the game was way better than the Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones are so washed up I'm expecting to see them on Lost. Next year, Lawrence Welk's corpse to be the halftime feature.

This year's ads were pretty forgettable.

My favorite ever was the one with 2 old men and a dancing monkey... at the end it said "Well, we just wasted 2 million dollars"

Like someone else said, the stone have made a lot of good music, but they need to stop doing live performances before we see them on stage in wheelchairs.
