i got a new skin last night. i now have a 6-pack, nipples and pubes! been walking around without a shirt cause i'm so hot!
if anyone needs a TV don't make the mistake i did and buy one...get a free view. a free, adjustable flat screen complete with cable TV, sorta. there's 3 channels with really old black and white shows and movies that aren't copyrighted anymore so they're legal to stream. i've been watching the three stooges.
here's a complete list:

Yes, that link includes the referrel for me. You'll see "Zed Newell" in part of the sign up.Durew wrote:Winnow does that link in your signature include your referral? I'm gonna sign up to give it a shot this weekend and wanted to get you the free L$1000 for referring me
Appreciate the thought! Someone may as well get some $$! If you post about the game on message boards, it doesn't hurt to do the same thing.
Considering other methods of earning income in SL, a 1K referral is a big help if you can get one. You can have two accounts on the same Credit Card so signing up for a second free one using your own referral code will give your first account 1K +you could xfer over the 250 from your new act to the old one...just repeating what I read!
I think the referral bonus takes a few hours to show up and sometime doesn't pop up until the next time the game is launched.
Doh!
I broke the system!Effective today, we will be eliminating the $L1000 bonus for Basic Referrals.
The reasoning behind this move is twofold:
1. With the move to a Free model and the elimination of the credit card requirement, it has become increasingly difficult to justify economically
2. There has been a profusion of Referral-farming in recent weeks and we wish to eliminate the negative effect this may have on the L$ market value
Going forward, we will evaluate the effect of this change on the Linden dollar and implement a form of Referral Bonuses that makes more sense with Free Basic accounts. We have always valued all members of Second Life and will continue to do so; we just need to construct a way of showing that appreciation that doesn't present such a risk of abuse.

It was an interesting night to say the least! Some publishable picts:
A new look for Ryu/Kwon although it's probably changed again since!

This is supposed to be a soldier but I started running for the exit when he entered....looked like a suicide bomber to me!

Bed head but the PJs are comfy!

Cid's new hog. Cid's already got like ten girlfriends. It's gotta be the hair!

I settled on the Curt Kobain look and think I'll be happy with it as long as no one hands me a shotgun:

Can still break out the punk look for clubbing! Those legs belong to our latest addition to D'Veeshan, Aquae Fish (Durew's sister)

Zed wonders which one she's after:

Zed takes his new look to the dance club. What happens next? Unfortunately my camera ran out of film! No picts after this!

Fun Times!

Les Vega getting lucky?!
I agree with Winnow... kiss and don't tell (unless you need a prescription from Dr. afterwards). Little slowdancing first. Hey Cid "jackhammer" Potato, ever hear the story about the old bull and young bull up on the hill surveying the field of cows....

Well you aren't going to make too many Lindens looking like this guy:

Cid was just screwing around. It's a game. If you can't get in touch with your inner gay in an alternate reality than you're a little too macho for this game! I expect all of the uptight people to be off playing Quake or something anyway. BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOM HEADSHOT!...next game session...BOOM HEADSHOT! BOOM HEADSHOT!
BTW, for action games, any of the Xbox 360 owners try the Full Auto Demo thats available off Xbox Live? That one's pretty fun. As fast paced as Burnout but with cars that have weapons. Worth a download (600mb)

That's the beauty of this game. You can ban people from zones easy! If your goal is to irritate people, there's lots of other places you can go until you get totally banned from the game. You'll be able to do it all day long in Vanguard.Rellix wrote:So are we.Cid was just screwing around. It's a game.

Yeah, me and Erolz got banned from a store when we had a firefight inside!
Rocketlaunchers for teh win!
Easy way to lag out peeps on dialup or with crappy systems is to use the heavy weapons and autofire!
Another way to get banned is to send people inside a shop flying with rocketlauncher, or just cage them inside a cage!
Or just use Scorpions Hook and drag them to you with "GET OVER HERE!"
Hilarious!
FlameThrowers, BFG, Rocketlaunchers etc DragonBall Kamehameha effect also pisses people off since the energyball takes up half the SCREEN!

Kwon, Cid and Arc are having a blast at the clubs it seems. I ported over to the Bad Girls Club only to hear the live DJ mentioning Kwon's (Ryu) name. Hard to keep track but Ryu won the tux competition and Cid won some other competion. Mad SL skillz...mad!
I spent the night shopping...granted it was a fun type of shopping, but still need to get back to the bars!
Love this game. I put up the best picture I could think of on my Apartment wall...myself!
The bed that you see in the picture might be the single most expensive piece of furniture in SL. I'd like to thank the referral VVers for contributing to this mega-scripted bed! It would take every $Linden from a premium account for more than 2 months to pay for it.

Cid and I moved our Apartments to the penthouse. That's Cid's bike out on the patio to the right:

There's some cool scripted things in SL. This car has pretty complex scripting but needs more leg room in the back!

There's not as many pimps around as you'd think but you'll spot one now and then. Poor girl can't even afford fully textured clothing yet and she's out on the streets!

The game is what you make it. If you lack imagination, you're probably better off just killing yourself in real life than playing it. I've had more fun playing this game than any other since EverQuest. Good stuff!

Me and Noodle tried this game today!

Its a fun card game you can play in SL!
The big hits will knockback your avatar and blood will spurt!!!
The Attacks with > in Upper left are quick attacks you can use each turn.
10 damage and has defence in different areas.
The big 25 attacks with X in upper left require that you play a Block (^ in Upper left) first.
Noodle liked to attack my head with High attacks doing 25 dam, (the high attack isnt shown in these cards).
Gallant Guard defends 40 damage on high attacks and 15 on low attacks, thus, a very good block if you know your opponent is attacking high!
After you blocked with Gallant, you could then do a heavy attack yourself (depends on what cards you've been dealt).
I once had a Low Heavy Attack doing 25 (not shown either) damage on the legs/feet! I kept attacking with the low attack, then trying to block Noodle, then attack low again... and Noodle managed to anticipate my attacks after a while!
So! just to throw him off balance, i did quick Savage Strikes (10 damage mid) each turn instead at the end!
Fun game!
You start with 100 Hit points.
---
OR Maybe Fishing is more to your liking!
Fishinggame for SL!
http://fish.neorealms.com/ <----
You can even fish Mighty Cthulhu beside normal fish!
---
For those who likes Cowboys! A Western game will be released this month in SecondLife!
Where you can be a cowboy, sheriff, outlaw, gambler etc

You get 250 prims which is a lot more than the standard 100-125 prims that places offer. I did a lot of searching around before settling on these apartments. 300L/week is a bit higher than normal than average. So I'm rather confused. Am I being cockblocked from the "group" or what? Both Cid and Winnow seem to refuse to respond to me. I played Slingo and Tringo with Durew tonight and apparently you guys said no? Are you guys just messing with me, trying to piss me off, or what? Did something happen where you think I screw around too much in the game, even though I haven't?
It's just pretty lame to play the game solo. The whole point of it is socializing, interaction, and looking pimp. Running around alone sucks.
drama ftw.
edit: the fact that i'm concerned by this bothers me. the game is starting to suck me in again.

I think you better start looking for Third Life. Your second life is already screwed up!
Not many new picts! Work was actually work today.
Here's Ryu trying to move in on my Little Fox Cuteness!

...Tiny Fox says, "wtf?"

Zed, trying to take this game seriously, doing his best dance moves, ooooph!, while Cid and Les are half naked running around spanking people with a riding crop! It's all fun times in this game.

Awwww, would you have valentine toon sex with this avatar?

Kwon found a pretty fun card game (he linked some card picts earlier). I didn't get any good screen shots of it but there was fun to be had...sort of like playing Magic the Gathering one on one.
Cid hired an interior decorator so come completely layout and furnish his apartment. She's done a great job so far with the living room and made a customized bar in the center of he spiral staircase. I'll post a pic when it's done!

I think I added your friend that was on the roof to the VV group. I'll add you too tonight when I log on as long as you aren't offended easily by men in thongs dancing for cash! The group chat makes the game more interesting at times and good for getting some questions answered : ) (That's Cid not me!)
What happens in SL stays in SL! You should stop by and see Cid's pad (it's right next door to mine) His lesbian decorator did a great job!

Here is the answer to your question:Rellix wrote:How so? I fail to see the cause of the rellix-hatred.Winnow wrote:I think you better start looking for Third Life. Your second life is already screwed up!
No one wants their jack off sessions with fellow manginas disturbed and documented, even their virtual ones.Lynnsie wrote:I got sucked in, made an avatar, Kirii Coleman. No offense to the people who genuinely enjoy this game as anything but one big cyber glory hole, but it just seems like a place for manginas and the unlayable to hook up for some one handed typing sessions. Its all one fucked up emo paradise, complete with furries and people who pretend to be vampires/werewolves/leprechons. Messing around with these people for personal amusement is a reasonable excuse the first couple times, but after a couple weeks and the addition of a Subway style glass guard over your keyboard to keep the pecker tracks off of it, you need to ask yourself who the joke is on exactly. I lump people who play this game with the same fanbase as Sims Online.
(much praise for Cid and Kwon having fun at other's expense, however)
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

The game offers a huge spectrum of players. If you lack the desire or social skills and the ability to seek out interesting people in the game, I'd probably have the same response you had. Sure, there are assholes like Rellix running around in the game, but there's also a huge host of people that understand it's pure fun in an alternate reality which is what all roleplaying games ultimately are no matter how many monsters you smash. There's room for a shitload of creativity in this game besides the cyber that everyone seems to focus on as the only part of the game.Jice Virago wrote: I lump people who play this game with the same fanbase as Sims Online.

I'd prefer someone not record my escapades in the game without my permission and if it became an issue I'd make a new character and obviously not post about my experiences on a message board for the immature to jump on. Typically, you wouldn't post your name in a game on a message board for that very fact but in this case I did it deliberately to relate my experiences to a group of online gamers that might want to take a stab at a new game.
In summary, fuck off! It's a fun game : ) Whenever I get bored with it, I'll move on.

Looking at the evolution (or should I say Emolution) of Zed, I would have to say there is a large difference between mashing buttons to get phat loots and mashing your dong to the image of your avatar humping some emo mangina. Now, maybe your EQ experiences differed from mine, but I didn't spend the majority of my EQ existance with my penis in my hand.Winnow wrote:The game offers a huge spectrum of players. I am sure there is. Unfortunately, with nothing to do (and being a haven for social misfits) the vast majority of the people will degenerate into a massive emo cyber orgy. Maybe you are into other aspects of the game (giving the benefit of the doubt here) but the bulk of the people are not. Its a nonstop Vampire Fanboi Furry shemale love fest. At least, thats what 90% of your screenshots and witness acounts from other people suggest. There's room for a shitload of creativity in this game besides the cyber that everyone seems to focus on as the only part of the game.

Sorry man, wish I could enjoy painting little metal figures but that seems as boring as flinging shit on a wall to me so I cant take on your hobby as a replacement.Jice Virago wrote: Maybe you are into other aspects of the game (giving the benefit of the doubt here) but the bulk of the people are not. Social misfits? What's normal these days? I don't think I want to be normal. I'd probably kill myself out of boredom.
You seem to like to stereotype so I'll stereotype you into the category of the unimaginative and narrow minded. Anything you do online for entertainment is a mental stimulant. Any game can break down into the "emo orgy" you refer to. Just look at games like WoW and you'll find the sex fiends...those people can probably be considered more normal that the fucking geeks that are just out to level a character. Ding! Who the fuck cares? Its the people you play with that make the difference. I hope to whatever god you worship that you're not concerned with what other people find enjoyable online. If someone wants to whack it 24/7 watching porn and has the time to do so, more power to them.
You leveled to 60 and killed 100,000 monsters. Someone in SL spent that time creating scripts, animations, furniture, buildings, and the rest of the time interacting with others in whatever way they chose to...So you think your 1,000 hours spent killing mobs was more stimulating and productive than the other persons? Great. Perhaps a brain scan will tell us one day which person tapped more creativity during those hours spent online.
You might say it's the challenge of defeating a mob...sure, and I might say you need something laid out for you to do because you can't dream something up yourself in an enviroment that gives you the tools to be as creative as you want.
I don't think you have any justification at all to criticise Second Life unless you're just bashing all online time spent on MMORPGs in general. Don't get me wrong, some of the best times I had were spent with friends exploring new zones in EverQuest...but really it was mostly fun because of the people I was with...it's equally fun for me to run around SL and see what others have dreamt up as the entire world is player built, animated and scripted. Eventually the world will get boring, just as Everquest did because it was tapped out or repetitive but the people are still what make any game worth playing for an extended period of time. SL is basically a deluxe version of a MOO. Nothing is going to fall in your lap, you need to use your imagination and go get it. There's your challenge.
