anyone else try the beta out?

So far its even more boring than CoH. Quests that never go beyond "Kill X of Y and bring me back a Z", which sucks cause theyre pretty much the only way to level right now. No instances or dungeons that I can see- just roads with monsters all over the place. Its ridiculously easy.. you just have a turret on your car that points a line of fire in front of it.. so you move the line of fire around and hold the right mouse button down. Equipment upgrades come in the form of better wheels, engines, weapons, and so forth. Driving instead of walking doesnt add to the enjoyment at all.. especially when the physics are so fucked up that you might as well be walking around just like any other MMORPG.

Youre supposed to be able to run people over, carmageddon style, which would be fine. But many things are immune to it, and those that arent suffer about 40-50% of their health lost from a 3 ton chunk of metal hitting them at 50 MPH.

I was also able to buy my own apartment thing. Which is a completely empty box right now. Except for a terminal which lets me spend shitloads of money on things with no function at all, just decoration. I imagine that is still in development.

So they have a long way to go if its gonna be worth playing. I'll probably check it out down the line, but at the moment its just another unoriginal bore.
