Smallville became such a cocktease after a few seasons. I wanted to see Superman doing Superman stuff, not Clark Pussy chasing that one bitch. If I wanted some cheesy love drama bullshit, I'd watch the OC!

Agree 100%. Even the nookyooler hotness that is Kristen Kreuk and scene stealing charisma of Micheal Rosenbaum can't make up for the utter trash this show has become.

No doubt. First season I watched a few episodes and liked them but it was never something I would incorporate into a schedule.

I caught a newer re-run last week and couldnt believe the garbage that show has turned into.

The OC is a good show and I'm confident enough in my masculinity to admit it.

I've never seen one minute of Smallville.

I watched the first season of OC but have since stopped. I don't feel like searching if it has its own thread but it should! So somebody can tell me wtf happened after season 1 because I watch previews now and I'm like who the fuck are these people.

I saw a few eps of Smallville in season 1 and struck me as nothing more than another "Freak of the Week" show with no type of continuation.
I stopped watching.

The episodes I've seen of Smallville were entertaining. If the show was just of Superboy in his red and blue supersuit, it wouldn't have lasted.

The complaint I've heard is that Lex Luther's son isn't mean enough in the show. I kind of like Luther a little unpredictable...makes it more interesting.

I could probably pretty easily give you a recap of everything that has happened in chronological order, but I'll have to consult with the people I watch it with. Let me think about it and see if I can't post a primer thread. :p

The problem is that I like watching love drama bullshit. I've seen every OC episode. =(

I'm not always confident about my masculinity when talking about it, though.

Actually the bald kid IS Lex Luthor.

The older dude is his dad, which to my knowledge, was never mentioned in any of the previous Supes lore.

Ah, thought he was Lex Luther Jr.

His dad's name is Lionel according to IMDB.

I like smallville. Its on my Tivo schedule for recording every week. Its no lost, scrubs, or 24 but its a good 44-46 minutes of comic hero fun.

Yep.
Decent acting, top notch production and good writing.

It's not deep but it's likeable and easy to watch.
