Graphic bug

I've seen this bug written on here and the fix long ago when we were still on the other messageboard, but too lazy to actually sift through and refind it.

Problem, on two of our machines we installed GEforce 4 vidcards, and not sure if that's the problem, but on those two machines we have had graphic errors in eq since. Both cannot display Velious armor textures(no I don't use new models) and only in Kunark we've noticed that most mob models are human males. I've tried reinstalling EQ a few times, mainly due to other bugs I was having, but that didn't seem to fix the graphic problems. Any ideas what I need to do next?

I would start by going to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/direct ... /drx81.asp then going to http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp downloading the newest applicable drivers. Then going into hardware, right clicking on the cards, and changing their drivers to basic VGA. Reboot, install newest directx stuffage, then install the new drivers.


If that fails, well, if you only get wierd responses in EQ, uninstall it entirely and do a clean install, many people like me have just copied the directory over for ages and problems develop. I know I started playing EQ on a P200, 128MEG with a 12MEG 3D card that routed thru my 2D card and 5 systems later my primary is a P4-2.8 with 2GIG RAM an obscene 128MEG of video RAM.[/url]
