In other news, there's another Alba movie I can't claim to be watching for the acting =/HAYDEN Christensen does not suffer hecklers gladly. The actor, currently shooting "Awake" with Jessica Alba, was leaving his trailer to do a scene inside Bellevue Hospital the other day when a fan approached. But instead of asking Christensen for an autograph, the fan yelled, "You ruined the 'Star Wars' movies!" Our set-side source says the annoyed Anakin Skywalker "chased the guy down the street and scared him away." A spokeswoman for the Weinstein Co., which is producing "Awake," declined comment.

Children were his target audience, it is not his fault some of them grew up less than others between the originals and the prequels.

Mark was supposed to play a whiney baby with the attention span of a cocker-spaniel; he was perfect.kyoukan wrote:Hayden Christianson was alright as Aniken. I really don't see how someone could say he ruined star wars while being a fan of mark hamill in the first trilogy.
Lucas did ruin star wars with his lame ass pandering to children and complete inability to cast a film and direct them afterwards.
Hayden was supposed to play the man that became the most malevolent force in the universe; he couldn't look menacing if he was drenched in feotal blood wielding a soul whip.
That said, Lucas fucked up the first three with his "enhancements", can't write dialogue to save himself, and generally believes his own press far too much. So yeah, he's the root cause, I just thought it was funny that Hayden would "chase the guy down" =)

Hayden did alright at portraying the character, afterall he was Luke's father, and like father like son - they were both whiney bitches.
I also thought Hayden did a pretty good job at looking evil in the 3rd episode. It was probably just the computer effects that gave him orange eyes and his scary cloak though.
