Million Dollar Baby

Post by Fairweather Pure »

I give this movie my highest recommendation. Clint Eastwood's choice of adaptation, screenplay, and actors is absolutely top notch. This is amoung the best acted movies of last year. It deserves every single award it recieved, and then some. Clint Eastwood has directed some great films, but this is his masterpiece.

I'm not putting up any spoilers or plot summary at all. Just go watch it for yourself and enjoy what may be the best movie of 2004.

Absolutely nothing bad I can say about this movie.

Top notch acting, direction, production, cinemetography, story, pacing, etc.

Clint Eastwood seems to have the golden touch... Million Dollar Baby, Mystic River, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, True Crime, Unforgiven... all solid, solid films.

Clint Eastwood is one of the best filmmakers in Hollywood right now. It's pretty amazing when you see him just being interviewed on TV or in a magazine. He's completely dialed in.. The guy is in his 70s and he still knows what is cool and what works.

girly tough ain't tough enough!

I challenge any other actor living or dead to say that line without the audience going hysterical at how lame it sounds.

Much much better than anything I had anticipated before watching it.

95/100 (a Sunday through Thursday viewing day movie)

I hope Eastwood can keep making movies into his 80's. He was born in 1930. Stay healthy Clint!

"I think you have to enjoy getting older. That's the most important factor. If you sit around and think, 'Well, at 21, I was doing this,' or 'at 31'--or what have you... A lot of people maybe do their best work when they're 40 and then tail off. But I think that's a mental attitude. I’ve done my best work, I think, now."

I can say something bad about it

Clint Eastwood's fucking annoyingly fake "Hardass" raspy voice that he thinks works oh so well.

That's not his real voice is it? If it is he should get plastic surgery on it.

Awesome movie once I got over that, though.

Eastwood is harder than Dolemite, sparky.

------------

As far as the movie, it was really great until towards the end. Then it was just fucking depressing. Then again, you need that ultra-depressing theme to win over the academy award fuckwads. :)

Only part I thought was sad was when they
[Show]
beat up that retarded kid.
I thought the movie was good though. Kept my attention. I don't think it was all that, it was good but not the best movie of the year.
