Holocaust is a 'myth'

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Wednesday the Holocaust is a "myth" that Europeans have used to create a Jewish state in the heart of the Islamic world.

"Today, they have created a myth in the name of Holocaust and consider it to be above God, religion and the prophets," Ahmadinejad told thousands of people in the southeastern city of Zahedan.

The Iranian president previously expressed doubt that the Nazi destruction of six million European Jews during World War II had occurred. But Wednesday was the first time he publicly denied the Holocaust.

Ahmadinejad provoked an international outcry in October when he called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."

Man, devout people of any religion scare me. It seems to influence their ability to perceive reality and leads to them being assholes.

I've started to take all "common knowledge" history a little skeptically; like it's common knowledge that the redskins were savages that scalped the poor gentle farming folk who didn't hurt no one. That aside, the holocaust is too widely documented from different sources to be manufactured history.

There's nothing astonishing about an arab being a holocaust denier though; it suits their world view. The same as Iraq being continually linked to 9/11 suits Bush's world view. The same as Bush's administration really believing there was solid evidence of WMD suits Blair and Howard's world view.

It would be more astonishing if a Rabbi came out and said he was completely happy with his son marrying a gentile. Was watching "Speaking in Tongues" the other night and a Rabbi was quite comfortable telling the jewish host that he'd no longer be welcome at his table of a Friday night for dinner if he married a non-jewish woman, because he would be "finishing Hitler's work for him".

There's not many religions that don't have some scary dogma.

Wtf is this babble? To whom is this common historical knowledge? Are you fucking high? This is an image used by Hollywood to make serials in the 30's. You won't find a single school that teaches anything remotely close to what you described. Well, the south might, but they don't count.

while of course the holocaust did occur i have heard accurate, reliable sources present a theory that the numbers they put out were false
according to some Europeans it was closer to 1 million Jews killed opposed to 6 million, which does make sense on a few levels…I have herd both sides and don’t consider myself educated enough on the holocaust to come to an accurate conclusion but from what I heard it is reliable

But you are focusing on the WRONG aspect of the good that was the political reeducation camps of greater Germany.

8,565,428 jobs were created for people who otherwise would have been a drain on the Third Riechs welfare system.

1,233,563 people were succesfully reeducated and released to become productive members of society.

500,344 people decided to further fight for the glory of Germany and chose to join the armed forces instead of life within the camps.

67,000 tons of merchandise was created to improve the life of the german people.

620,000 tons of milatary hardware was created to protect the well beeing of germany.

and 30 people went on to become heros to the world after beeing alowed to escape by those pinko commie bastards.

Funny thing is that you never hear many people talk about Stalin. Is it because most of the people he killed were Siberian or Slovic in heritage rather than Jewish? To me 30 million people is 5 times greater than 6 million but I guess those people don't have as much access to Western Media... who knows...

On the same token, you could say that you hear a ton about Stalin's gulags but never anything about the millions of Chinese that were slaughtered by the Japanese. It just goes around in circles.

I can guarantee you that schools do not teach the truth. They pretty much avoid the subject as much as possible and tell you that the Indians gave away all their land for shiny beads and fire water. The end.

I have a theory on that:
After Bloody Joe got done, there just weren't that many men left, so they got to score with hotties that never would have given them the time of day before. The hags simply couldn't compete, and died out. Darwin would have love it.

Part of it is that he killed 'his own people', I believe - Eddie Izzard said about Hitler etc:

personally i think the moment human beeings were unable to explain the world around them, felt lost and to calm themselves down created religion was the darkest moment in human history.

nothing beneficial that religion provides, can't be gotten through other non religions means.
but a whole lot of bad things would have been nice to do without, that came about directly because of religion.
