Would there be any interest in a 'celebrities' forum?

No holds barred discussion. Someone train you and steal your rare spawn? Let everyone know all about it! (Not for the faint of heart!)

Y'know, to laugh at and/or make fun of celebrities and socialites?

I'd be happy to add a celebrities forum if you can train people to start posting threads in the appropriate forums. :p

Where would Richard Pryor's death thread go? CE, GD, or celebrities? What about Eddie Guerrero's? CE, GD, movies/dvd/tv, sports, celebrities? I don't care about anyone's arguments that we don't need more forums, that's a silly argument as they can avoid the forum if they don't want it. I do care about too many cross-posts and double posts though, as I try to read about all the threads so that my secret police can appropriately silence the dissenters.

I'm amused by the media's fascination with people who absolutely no talent... people like Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Tara Ried or Kevin Federline.

And the pappariazi hounding B/C/D list actors just waiting for them to do stupid shit and embarrass themselves. It's like watching a train wreck as it happens... except nobody dies.

one thing i will never understand is how or why people indulge in celebrity gossip, how insignificant do the events in ones life have to be that they concern themselves over if two people they will never meet are sleeping with, breaking up or cheating on eachother

More forums are fine by me, as long as it doesn't get to the point where people are double-posting like it's their paid job. Let's make a Dance Dance Revolution forum and make me the mod!

I agree on EQ2. To add to the list:

BT
Vanguard - Saga of Heroes
Buying / Selling - Everquest
Adventures in Reading
Helpful Links

Oh, and City of Heores / City of Villians once the interest in CoV dies down in a month.

Oh wait, I already do that in NWS.

Whether you said it to piss me off, or you're just a clueless retard, I agree with everything you said excluding Vanguard (surprise!). Good job, you accomplished your goal.

Considering the forum is likely to only get more popular as time goes on, and knowing that Vanguard is the next 'big' MMO that people (including VV users) will migrate to (talk to any of the big MMO guild leaders), the forum has no reason to be diminished. That being said, DDO may itself deserve a forum too, even though I won't be playing it, I'm sure some people here will (Sylvos and friends). Or, it may not. Who knows. Either way, Vanguard and DDO are the only MMO's of early/mid 2006 that will go anywhere and maintain a strong player base.

Now, this is the part where people claim I'm all whiney and a fanboi. Don't bother, I don't care.

rename Movie/DVD/TV to Entertainment. the forum would still cover movies, dvd and tv since they are all forms of entertainment but could also include celebrity threads and poker!

God, I saw Brad Garrett on one of those celebrity poker things last year or so, and fuck if that guy isn't the most annoyingly unfunny person I've ever had the displeasure of observing. He kept making cracks like he was the funniest guy around and he sucked so badly.

I really wish he'd swallow a knife.

I don't think you need to add another forum, although I would like to add that I met Franco Harris and Lydell Mitchell this week in Vegas.

some friends of ours had tickets to see him do stand up last week and wanted us to go with them. I thought no, because he just isn't a very funny person.

Yeah it's a great idea, it will allow us all the fantastic opportunity to further detach our conscious minds from the every day banality of government spying, murderous regimes we actively support, huge conglomerates fucking us over and being financially and creatively dicked for all our live long days by having insightful life affirming true and meaningful discussions on how fucking thin Nicole Ritchie has got.

I'll think you'll find he has very little interest in your domestic policy, so therefore someone who doesn't "live in the country" is the perfect person to complain about it. Sheesh.

Perhaps a comparable sentiment would help you out: "It's only gay if you're catching" ~ some EQ2 jackass.

The things you read on global game channels.. I tell you, it's outrageous.
