Shut the fuck up Keverian, you have no idea of what you are talking about. While my initial post was to flame fucktard, I did find the cd to be quite good. Having said that, and then reading your post, you are talking out of your ass on an artist that you probably have never heard of before. (HINT: He's not a fat fuck)

As far as rap goes (and I'm not a huge fan), I thought 50 Cents sounded rather talented. Lyrically he could even be up to par with Nas. Gooooooo Dre and company~~

Well, considering I said it a few years ago when there was a song or two of his I liked, there may have been some truth to the statement. But my guess is its probably sarcasm.Daboohk wrote:Was this sarcasm?Funkmasterr wrote:I have to agree, the new 50 cent cd is one of the best rap cd's that has been released in the past few years. You really can't come clean and say you really loved his stuff, before you found out recently he wasn't a true hardcore criminal like he portrays in his lyrics? I can respect you a lot more if you could be honest.Funkmasterr wrote:Well, considering I said it a few years ago when there was a song or two of his I liked, there may have been some truth to the statement. Yeah. That takes one dedicated individual to even think to spend the time searching for that.miir wrote:Awesome bump of an old thread.Daboohk wrote:Was this sarcasm?Funkmasterr wrote:I have to agree, the new 50 cent cd is one of the best rap cd's that has been released in the past few years. Actually Midnyte, if you want the whole story I'll give it to you.
I liked his first cd when it came out, but shortly after my NY friends started to tell me about him, and I may have kind of brushed it off at first.
Then after he started talking shit about Ja Rule I really started to pay closer attention to him, and this started the rapid decline for me. In several songs he was talking shit about how big of a pussy Ja Rule was for singing in the hooks of the songs he was in (although I will admit I think Ja Rule sounds a lot like the cookie monster when he sings). Ja made a rew response songs, but kept on doing what he was doing, but then a few months down the road it changed.
Then 50 started to do the same thing, singing in a lot of songs in the hook, and some songs he did nothing but sing the hook. This is when other rappers started to air him out about him feminine side, which is suprisingly vast.
So anyways, there was a short period of time (about 3-4 months) that I did like 50 cent, but now , like Jay Z said -- im about a dollar what the fuck is 50 cents?

Obviously it is the biggest sin in rap. Geez Sion EVERYONE knows that.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon
