I think it's safe to say that most VV'ers are Jon Stewart fans. I personally think the Daily Show is one of the few shows on television worth watching.
When the Colbert Report debuted last month, I caught a few of the first episodes and they were just painful to watch. So I wrote the show off.
Last week, I gave it a second try and I'm starting to like it a lot.. maybe even more than the Daily Show.
Stewart just doesn't have the edge that Colbert has... and the utterly absurd and asinine shit Colbert's writers come up with makes me laugh out loud.
He's getting a lot better with the interviews as well.

I've been a fan since it debuted. I love how great a parody of some of the "real" shows like that it is.
The little touches are great, like his guest being seated in the dark alcove, and him walking over to them. Togther, TDS and the Colbert Report make a great hour of television.

It is really clever.
Great satire of persons like O'Reilly and Hannity.
Last night was hilarious, where he was talking about the death penalty and how as a Catholic he was irritated that the religion was opposed to capital punishment.
"Talk about hypocritical, you wouldn't even have the religion without the death penalty!"
absolutely hilarious

It was ok at first, a bit painful to watch at times. It's definitely matured a bit. The bit where he debates himself is awesome. The painting of himself standing in front of a painting of himself.. also priceless. But ever since the first episode where he pointed out his fucked up ears I'm just totally distracted by them! I never noticed them on Daily Show
Oh.. and when he had the PBS documentary guy on the show, and they did the documentary of the interview... I just about died.

Yeah, I definitely felt like he was struggling the first few episodes, but he's really settled into a rhythm, and the show is getting better & better. He's had some really fun guests, and I continue to be amazed that congress members have actually been willing to talk to the guy for his "Better Know a District" series. Tuesday night when he proclamed that California's 50th Congressional District was "dead to him" had me really cracking up.
Colbert then pointed his bony finger at the real villain. "I blame the congressional district, the Fighting 50th! You should have stopped him! You should have seen it! It was a cry for help! California 50th, you're dead to me!"
