So, the first time i saw this movie i didn't know exactly what i was getting into. We grabbed a copy of it at a movie store down at the beach and just watched it one night because of a recommendation we had about it.
We had no idea what it was about when we first sat down.. But now watching it again, i couldn't help but laugh my ass off, mainly because i couldn't believe what i was watching and how i remembered me acting the first time i saw it.
The cast is great, Johnny Depp, Iggy Pop, Billy Bob Thornton, and a few others.
The movie is about a wanted man who pretty much abandons his life as a normal pedestrian ( term normal used loosely ). He meets an indian who shows him the way of nature, and some other pretty hilarious things. All the while bounty hunters are after him, and the bounty hunters are hilarious as well.
The flick is in black and white, and appears to be classifiable as an old western, although i believe it was made in 1995. The movie deffinetely gives you a feel that it was made a long time ago, hell i thought it was from the 70's when i first watched it.
Bottom line is, i think it has just been released onto DVD ( never saw it in my store prior to last week on DVD ) so go pick it up and give it a watch.

I can clearly reccomend Dead Man too.
Depp is brilliant in it, and Lance Henriksen totallly underplay his role as a hardcore killer/bounty hunter.
If you want action, its NOT a movie for you. But if you want good, kinda wierd entertainment, this is your movie.
As for the sound track, i know a guy who actually use this movie to illustrate the effect of soundtrack in a movie. He plays it for his students first without the soundtrack, and ask them to review the movie. Then a month after, they get to see it again, this time with the soundtrack, and are asked to look at their old reviews. Its a totally different movie without the brilliant soundtrack.
Also, if you watch it, try to look for the small off-center jokes, there are a lot to be found. For example try to keep an eye on the skulls on the ground in the city Depp visits first. Or try to see what Lance Henriksen eats in the movie.
