I searched the forums quite a bit but I didn't see this movie discussed very much beyond top 10 lists.
As opposed to a night full of regrets, I decided to sit with a few friends and watch this movie tonight. Going into it, I had no clue what the story was about, the plot, or hell, even the genre.
I'm not usually one for scary-esque (i call anything remotely violent, scary =P). I got over a few weird parts at the beginning (which were really nothing now that I look back at it) and realized what a great movie it is. It's got an awesome cast and the visual effects are stunning. This movie was made in 1995, and it looks by far like it was made within the last 5 years.
Definitely worth a rental.
What do you guys think of the flick?

Apart from this being a brilliant movie, it also show to what lenghts an actor will go to be in a movie he really like:
Ron Perlman doesn't speak French and was the only American on set. But he learned all of his lines, and delivered them without error.

As much as I agree with you, his character wasn't really much of a talker to begin with. "One" could barely speak in complete sentences, and used the third person almost consistently.Hesten wrote:Apart from this being a brilliant movie, it also show to what lenghts an actor will go to be in a movie he really like:
