9 minutes isn't going to explain everything but it's cool they have that available.

Interestingly, I haven't been able to find the Serenity movie in pirated form. Very odd considering the geek factor of this movie.

I think a good way to show what Serenity is like is to post one of the episodes...maybe "Our Mrs Reynolds" although that episode begins in a corny way.

Train Job pretty much hits the nail on the head what the whole series will be like. however... that still doesn't mean it should be the first fucking episode FOX.

Our Mrs. Reynolds would be a good choice. I'm thinking that War Stories(although it is a heavy episode) or Heart of Gold would also be great choices.

Agreed. due to the wide variety of episodes, you'd need a serious episode and a more humorous episode to provide the full range of stories Firefly provides. "Out of Gas" would be a good serious episode (also due to all the flashbacks of how Mal met his individual crew members) or "Objects in Space".

Six days ago, someone posted the complete series of Firefly in alt.binaries.multimedia using xvid codec. (avi extension)

For those that don't get newsgroups or understand them, I uploaded "Our Mrs. Reynolds" and "Out of Gas" to my server.

Edit: the two episodes are posted later in this thread.

'Out of Gas' is far and away my favorite episode.

BTW, "Out of Gas" will give those that didn't get to know Wash in the movie, because of his lack of screen time, a better idea of what his character is like...sort of! He has to play a more serious role in the episode.

Here's the more serious episode that also introduces the origins of the characters:

And the lighter side of Firefly episode:

hope you got them if you wanted them!

If Heart of Gold is the episode with the whorehouse, I didn't care much for it although it did have some important character development. Loved the rest, Out of Gas topping the list. Jaynestown or Jayne's Song (whatever) was pretty fun, too.

I just bought the DVD set, since the show has never aired on U.K TV (that I know) watched about 4-5 episodes so far. Fucking amazing!

Heart of Gold was probably my least favorite episode but it had some great lines.

Jayne: I don't know these people and I don't want to
Mal: They're whores
Jayne: I'm in

It dosen't matter how great a movie is if no one watches it. It looks as though Serenity isn't doing well at all in the box office. The Wallace & Grommit movie made as much in the first weekend of release as Serenity has earned in 2.

I don't see enough interest to garner another film, much less a return of the cancelled series.

It may not make enough money but it was worth an effort to try and get a few people to see it.

A direct to video movie was being considered as a sequel but I doubt Joss Whedon would spend his time on something like that. He's in demand at the moment so if Serenity doesn't work out for a sequel, I'm sure he'll find something else to do.

I bet a lot of fucking theatres in smaller cities didn't even bother to carry it at all. It never made it down here to Key West, so I had to drive to Miami to see it.

Clearly, Serenity is no Need for Speed

The new science fiction film ‘Serenity’ has knocked ‘Pride and Prejudice’ from the top of the UK box office after three weeks at number 1.

‘Serenity’ has been directed by the creator of ‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer', Joss Whedon, and is based on the TV series ‘Firefly’.

The plot follows the story of a spaceship crew living on the edge of the law in outer space…crazy shit man.

So despite having taken £11.4million already, ‘Pride and Prejudice’ finds itself at number 2.

Roman Polanski’s ‘Oliver Twist’ debuts at number 3 while ‘A History Of Violence’ languishes at number 4 ahead of new entry ‘Kinky Boots’ making its mark at number 5.
Go go you Brits!

I snagged these a bit ago, thanks.
However I'm not sure what to do with this type of file.
Burn to a CD/DVD to play?

They probably use the Divx codec.

Go here

http://www.divx.com/

and grab the free version of the divx codec. If that doesn't work, you probably need xvid or something.

Here's a good list of most popular codecs used:

Wait, I just checked the copies. The Xvid codec was used.

You need this codec:
