In what context? It could be Good Game, Good God, etc...

I am only familiar with the term GG from my days of playing TF and TFC, and it meant Good Game. Was generally said at the end of a clan match, or when a new map was cycling up on a pub server.

Oh, and it would be used sarcastically as well. When newbs would do stupid newbie things "GG llama" etc...

I hear it all the time, in so many different contexts.
Like:

stfu noob gg
ur all gay gg
u suck at duels gg

I just don't get it. It's some bizarro multipurpose acronym that I've only ever seen in WoW.

I use it for "Good going" after we live through a bad pull or hair-raising attempted gank. I see some people using it after instance runs for "Good group," but I have no idea what it means in those examples.

EDIT: miir, I think the best response when somebody tells you that is to shout "RANG RANG RANG RANG!" at them and then put them on ignore

Used to be used all the time way back when B-Net was still a civil place. Used to for Good Game all the time myself.
