Anyone ever date a cop?

An interesting blind date scenario.... buddy of mine knows this gal who is a federal agent. Blah blah blah anyway, I have never dated anyone in law enforcement, much less one that works for the Dept of Treasury, so am quite curious as to their habits outside of work....

Yeah, I will find out more about her next week over drinks, but.... this just seems a bit odd, considering I usually date women just out of college and/or flamingly liberal. I find it odd that we can email back and forth about fishing and guns--two things I seem to talk quite a bit about. Usually, on blind dates, a person has an idea of wtf someone looks like, vain as it may be.

This is batshit unusual, indeed... I mean, she can most likely kick my ass and certainly outshoot me at the range. What do female cops do in bed? Do they ride their men with strapons while the hapless victim is forced to shout "I am your bitch Special Agent so and so" over and over again? Are they completely normal? Do they enjoy chick flicks and knit fucking blankets????

This is just bizarre, but she seems so fucking cool. She fishes for fuck sake. That is tits on a tulip, baby.

The one female cop I know is now retired, and is a very happy well adjusted person who didn't talk much about work even when she was still an officer.

Generally cops off duty are like most other people...Federal agents will most likely go out of their way to not discuss details of what they do.

I wouldn't show her my growing chamber full of the Chronic in the attic until the second or third date though.

My brother graduated from the FBI academy in Quantico, Virginia awhile back. He's a higher up on the Nevada Gaming Control Board now so doesn't go on field raids anymore. I think you're right in that he didn't talk about his day to day activities if not asked but doesn't mind, if asked, talking about all the wild schemes people have cooked up to cheat the casinos or run illegal gambling rings.

As for personality, I'd say he's a goody goody up to the point where he won't accept things like copied software, etc. but he also won't rat out his brother for doing the opposite! Whew!

Regarding the original inquiry, I think you "may" get a slightly more responsible person in a police officer or agent when off duty but with all the corruption these days, who knows. That could be an ice breaker question on your first date Canelek..."So, when you see a pile of money or drugs during a bust, do you set a little aside for yourself before turning in the evidence?"

I have been chatting on the phone with this woman on and off all day and find her pretty damn cool. This gal loves to fish, I mean really loves to fish, hike, camp, shoot guns, read, talk politics and just talk. She loves her job and is quite intelligent.
