Hey guys,

Just an FYI, dont't get a dual core system if you're going to be playing EQII. While both processors will crank the game for a while, any time the game gets bogged down, the tasks assigned to each processor gets out of order and the game starts spazzing out.

The only stable way that I can play EQII is with processor affinity set to just one CPU for the game's executable.

I got one of those AMD x64 4200 dual cores running on a socket 939 bus.

Just one processor works great BTW.

Also, the 7800GTX nVidia card lets me play with maximum detail at 1280x1080 for outdoor zones, and one step below maximum detail when visiting a render heavy zone like a city.

For what it's worth... I'd get single core chip to play EQII. Dunno about WOW, yet. I bought WOW but I'm having so much fun playing EQII that I haven't gotten around to installing WOW yet. Go figure
