Finding Neverland

Post by Chidoro »

I did a search for this one and didn't see a thread so I apologize in advance if the vv search skills have failed.

Just saw this last night. I actually had no idea the movie was about the playwright of Peter Pan as opposed to another take on the story. Sure it helps to read about it but my wife makes the Netflix queue up.

I really enjoyed this movie. Excellent performances by the cast. The editing was very sharp. The story w/in a story worked very well. I did find it unnecessarily tragic from time to time but that was just personal taste more than anything else. I'm sure people can easily argue what happened needed to happen to fulfill the story.

Catch it if you're looking for a change of pace, especially if you like films depicting older eras like I do.

We watched this last night after reading Chidoro's recommendation of it. Excellent film -- highly enjoyable.
