Now that college is complete and I'm soon to have a new machine. I was wandering where most of the veeshan folk play in WoW.
Where am I most likely to find old friends?

I seriously doubt you'd get either Ixtlan or Sov to move servers and level new toons

Well, Xyun re-started Ixtlan on WW during beta and a bunch of us hopped on board. We went through some growing pains, but now are pretty much top of the pie there. I think Py is running the guild now and Xyun is whoring himself off to Longhorns cheerleaders and the like. Of course, I have not been around WoW for several months due to shitty PC and a new job that takes all of my time.
I miss yous bitches!!!!

Gaklek chose Bloodhoof because of the lack of (at the time) any high-end progression/guild presence on the server, but now Bloodhoof is a high population server like most of the launch servers.
We're ranked about 6th (for Alliance) on the server, but we started over 2 months later than everyone else. With the 15 person restriction that went live just after we started doing strat/scholo, we're doing pretty well. Being Ixtlan/Legion or Sovereign, we've always prided ourselves on doing big things in small numbers. However, numbers and key classes are a necessity for MC and beyond, so that is something we're working on. We've killed Lucifron a couple of times, killed Magmadar, and Gehennas is our next target (Gehe would probably be dead if warlock summoning wasn't fucked up this weekend).
Like Canno said, Ixtlan was formed in beta by Xyun. I was even tagged. Most of the core founders of Ixtlan from the old EQ1 days are there as well, as well as a guild they absorbed from the Nameless(?). I'm sure Py or Sylvus can confirm. I really didn't like the idea of being horde, and I have lots of friends in Sovereign as I did in Ixtlan, so I stuck with Sovereign.

Ixtlan has grown to pretty much dominate WW on the Horde side. Many people from CD / Booty Bay Bandits are there as well now. I'm still not 60 because my job takes way to much time but I'm trying to level.
As a guild we have pretty much killed everything but the last couple of guys, and that may have changed in the past day or so, released in the latest patch. There was even a thread on the Blizzard board where Alliance players were trying to rally each other to not automatically log out when they go into one of the PvP encounters and see Ixtlan tags... very impressive, especially considering Alliance outnumbers Horde like 4 to 1 on WW.
In regards to being horde I played Alliance during Beta and started my initial charcater on that side. Xyun let me know about Ixtlan so I started a shaman which IMHO is FAR superior to the Paladin, it's counterpart on the Alliance side. Personally I have no idea what the hold up is with people choosing Horde. They aren't "evil" per se, in fact many of the things I consider evil in regards to the lore were done by the alliance. Their pride and greed is what got them where they are now. The storylines on the Horde side for the Undead and Taurens are much more detailed than any of the Alliance have have played (have a 17 NE Rouge on Bloodhoof and my original Human Pally I played to 20 in Beta).
I can't speak for Py or Slyve but I would bet that they would love to have you join us. Who knows, by time you level up I might actually be 60 as well AND Canno just might have that new PC now that he has a job...

The story behind WC3 really makes each race out to be the good guys, but have bad guy faction within them (or vice versa). Even the sepratist Undead are good in thier own way. The orcs are definatley trying to be good, but many are haunted by the bloodlust that was given to them by thier demon masters.I always thought that humans were the badguy. Weren't they the ones that took over the land in Warcraft 3?
Elves also think they are better than everyone else which makes them evil too.
That's one of my favorite things about Blizzard and what they've done with the WC universe.

Lack of hot females limits your mangina. You know this to be true.Marbus wrote:Personally I have no idea what the hold up is with people choosing Horde. From what Ive heard, alliance dudes would afk out when they saw ixtlan because many ixtlan dudes would afk out anyway after about an hour or so.As a guild we have pretty much killed everything but the last couple of guys, and that may have changed in the past day or so, released in the latest patch. There isn't one single up to and including Molten Core that REQUIRES any holy talents at all. The increases in healing power and reduction in aggro are so minor and the losses in utility are so major, it's really not worth the trade off. Plus you COMPLETELY gimp yourself in PvP by going holy.Psyloche wrote:I have fun with my Shadow Priest on a PvP server. I'm not sure how that'll hold up when I get into higher level instances where you need Holy.Aabidano wrote:cadalano wrote:roll a priest![]()

I was hoping it would be something like that, but not having been even near them, I have no idea!masteen wrote:There isn't one single up to and including Molten Core that REQUIRES any holy talents at all. If you are full shadow specced at end game you will constantly be outperformed by priests with a clue. Furthermore, there is nothing more pathetic in actual PVP than a shadow priest. Jesus christ I love free CP. Holy priests are actually a threat.

There hasn't been any true incarnation of Fiends that I know of personally. I believe several ex-fiends made a similar guild on Whisperwind but have since merged with another.Sargeras wrote:Sovereign = Bloodhoof

Vannor/Daboohk and I started a guild on Suramar called No Quarter; there's about 6 of us that were in Fiends at some point if that's enough for you to call it "Fiends".
