Speakers anyone?

Post by retiredwikit »

My friend has asked me to help him find some speakers for his computer. I am not a big music guy, but I know more about computers then he does, so naturally he comes to me for help. I've looked around on Newegg and some other sites for speakers, but my question is: What specs am I looking for?

He's Laos and will be watching ppv movies on his home computer, but wants a good speaker system. Any help will be appreciated.

Klipsch makes the most amazing speaker systems...

http://www.klipsch.com/product/product.aspx?cid=712 ($350)

that's the newest model.. Five Years(!) ago I bought a pair of Klipsch Promedia 5.1 THX ($300), and to this day they sound amazing. I've never heard a computer speaker set that can top it.

I could use a replacement module ($50) for the volume knobs because of dust causing a scratching noise while changing the volume, but that's no big deal after 5 years, and i may be able to clear it up with compressed air.

Go for Klipsch!
