X-Files season 1-9 on DVD

Post by Fairweather Pure »

I've always been a fan of the X-files, but the price of the DVD boxed sets is waaaay more than I am willing to spend. Low and behold, there is a loophole a friend of mine told me about a couple months back.

You can buy the Asian versions of seasons 1-9 for about $150.00. It's totally legit, and besides a few, and I mean very few asian characters on the outer packaging (writing that is), it is exactely the same as the American counterpart. I thought it may be too good to be true, but I saw my friend's boxed sets a couple weeks back and was floored. The menus are all in english and it plays on standard all standard US DVD players. There is absolutely no difference in the actual DVDs at all.

So, I bought the set on Ebay as soon as I saw how great his set was. Here I am 3 weeks later, and X-files seasons 1-9 show up on my doorstep, factory sealed :) That's 69 discs, over 200 episodes, and about 8 days worth of viewing for $150.00.

I figured I would pass it along with my highest endorsment. What an exceptional deal.

Complete Episode list is here, for those that care: http://www.redwolf.com.au/xfiles/

Is eBay the only place to find this?

Wow. That is a pretty sweet deal if they are all consistant. I have had DVDs bought in Thailand that were totally garbage.

Yes, it's Ebay. My total price, plus shipping and insurance was actually $153.00. It's as good as the version you buy at Best Buy here in America.
