DOS question

Post by Kaldaur »

I'm trying to get Darklands, an old DOS game from 92, working on my computer. However, I have to run it in DOS. Anyone familiar with running DOS programs in XP?

Did DOSBox end up working for you, Kaldaur?

DOS was the pwn. Kept the riff-raff out of the computer labs.

Darklands was the game that made my roommate buy a 386 processor. It was great fun!

Heh. Just getting games to run back then was a lesson in memory management.

Master of Magic anyone?

Pffth, master of magic was easy.
The 2 worst games for memory management were Dreamweb (wicked nasty, made sound errors and strange error messages if you didnt have enough Extended memory free), and Turrican 2 (took me THREE days to get sound on that one).
