What up with this?

Post by miir »

My WoW account expires next week so I thought I would log in and try a different (non pvp) server (picked whisperwind heh).

So I'm just messing around on my undead mage and it seemed like whenever I came in contact with any other players their standard greeting-macro was /duel

I don't get it.
I was challeneged to a duel by 10 different people in like 90 minutes.
None of them even said a single word... just started following me and spamming me to duel.

I get that every now and again when I'm on an alt although not nearly as much as what you got.

I can't really guess why people do that.

Mostly newbie kids from what I have seen. Everytime I make an alt I get duel spammed till I put them in their place.... tire iron in a parking lot style.

My 4 year old plays WoW and thats all he does for hours on end. Roll a new character, run around duel spamming people. He just likes doing it for some reason, and obviously he cannot communicate in game except via emotes. I gave him my lvl 60 warrior and guess what he does, runs around duel spamming lvl 60's without saying a word.

Keep your 4 year old away from Miir, or Miir will get owned :(

I logged on one day and had tells from a couple of guildmates that were asking me what was wrong. I said nothing, why. They then tell me how a few hours earlier I was running around inviting guildmates into groups(via my friends list) then challenging to duels, and I beat their ass and would not respond to tells. I told them it was my son and it was kind of hilarious.

On the flip side to that, when he plays my mage, he gets totally pwnd, flawlessly.

Oh, he played Fungs warrior in Molten Core last night and no one even knew. His comp is on the same desk as mine so its real easy for me to see what he is doing. I have actually had this kid playing main healer with his priest in pickup groups, and get complements. Now thats sad, they never believe its a 4 year old.

Not saying my kid is a genius or a prodigy or anything. When he plays a warrior, he just uses the standard buttons, heroic strike, and any other button that lights up. He has no idea what they do, he just mimics me mashing buttons. On the healer its different, he knows he is saving someone when he presses his heal button (he only uses one heal type, hey, he's only 4 afterall) and that makes him happy.

That just speaks volumes about our quality healers.

I hope you aren't speaking of Sahabala, who is a fantastic priest! :P
