Honestly Xou, I have never looked into the religion, only looked down on it because of the hollywood crowd.

The problem with that is that the press is so interested in asking them about their relationship that no one wants to promote War of the Worlds and Batman Begins, so their publicity tours were cut short.

there is no better publicity for these movies.

they cut the publicity tour short, because sitting in the Beverly Palms having a different press guy come in and do a canned interview every 15 mins is nowhere near the buzz generating monster that this is.

this is free, where you have to pay for marketing. I'm kind of talkig out of my ass, but not too much i think - but if i am Spielberg, i am loving this.

The more Oprah talks about Tom Cruise the more 99% of the women in the US (her audience) want to see him in a movie. And that makes a male-skewing movie like "WotW" potentially much more lucrative.

I have much h8 for pop culture and those that live vicariously through the lives of would be celebrities...I worked with a fucking retarded chimp that acted as though she KNEW these asshat celebrities, saying shit like "Scott Weiland is too nice to have hit his wife" and "I know that Tom Cruise is a good husband and Nicole Kidman loves him very much"...the fucking bitch made me ill every time I heard her voice. By the same token she thought I was weird beyond belief because I wasn't watching all the reality shows every night and didn't know who was who on Survivor, American Idol, ad nauseum. Someone at that job asked me who my idol was and I replied, "Idols are for the weak. Be your own role model."

Who knows if its a publicity-stunt or not, one thing is certain though, they are making sure people aren't forgetting about Top Cruise and Katie, the thing that is also knows as TomKat!

I've seen this "phenomenon" not only here, but on many other boards as well (swedish), and there is a lot of talk about Cruise and Katie atm.

Both War of the Worlds and Batman Begins will be big hits i am sure!
