Gift Ideas...

Post by Diae Soulmender »

My Lady and I been together 13 years.

She is graduating with her Bachelors in Elementary Education with her Teaching Certificate on June 18th, 2005. She wants to teach 4th grade.

I want to buy her a gift that is teacher related, but Im just not sure what to get her.

Spending limit: $100.00

Any ideas?

Get her a $100 gift card for Office Depot. She will feel obligated to buy her kids materials since the US Education system in bankrupt and cannot provide even the simpleist of needs.

You can also go to one of those Orchard sites and have different types of Apples sent to her throughout the year. Kind of a neat idea.

Nothing says I love you quite like a file cabinet or a dieting book.

More realistically, maybe some expensive school supplies - perhaps personalized stationery, along with pens, markers, etc.

A bottle of chlorox kitchen cleaner, a sponge, pair of knee pads and a bottle of astroglide. You'll be gtg.

if those dont work, the 100 bucks you can give her as a gift card to a book store/office store to buy supplies to put up in her class room when she gets the job. Otherwise her classroom will be bare without decoration.

I thought Nutbutter was the universal gift of appreciation.

Grats on your GF/Wife's BAED. Does she have her Structured English Immersion requirement out of the way? Gotta have that by 2006!

Ah, she won't need SEI if she already has an ESL endorsement.

I'd save the "class room decor gift card" for when she actually gets hired. I'd get her a couple spa treatments in the interim, to help her relax from finishing up the degree. Might help her feel prettier if she has any interviews coming up as well :D

Give her herpes! It's the gift that keeps on giving!

Short plaid skirt, knee socks, very thin white oxford, black glasses, and a wooden ruler.

I know this gift won't be teaching related but I loved it! I got a mini-Ipod for Mother's day and I use the heck out of it. It's a tad over your $100 limit though.

Good luck!
