In all fairness, they got the name correct. It's "Alas for the conquered." Victis = dative plural. Victus = nominative singular. Damn highschool mental backwash... this is the only time in my life I'll ever use those worthless 2 years of highschool latin.

edit: if it was Victus, it would be "Alas a conquered (person.)" Besides, I believe "vae victis" is a common phrase some elitist bastards toss about the law offices or before some performance of shakespeare...
