Sorry for the delay.
Flickering Lights (Blinkende lygter) is about about a criminal named Torkild that has reached the age of 40 and decides he wants out. In doing so, he decides to enlist his pals to make off with 'the boss's' 4,000,000 kroner.
Although not as stylistic as, say, Guy Ritchie, Anders Thomas Jenen creates a very fun and interesting crime caper. Jensen's strength in writing and directing is in the dialogue, which is energestic and pretty damn funny if you are paying attention.
This is the second film I have seen by Jensen, the first being The Green Butchers--Blinkende lygter being my favorite so far. If you enjoy low-budget crime caper films such as Lock,Stock or Snatch, this one will be of interest. Score for the Danish Film geeks.
