God of War - PS2

Post by Trias »

amazing...get this game now, is one of the best games i've ever played(and i've played a retarded amount); maybe even the best but i'll save that judgement till i'm further into it!

superb control, awesome graphics, simple but great puzzles, great score, great sound, sweet killing

i hate to be cliche, but this game has it all and then some

I've heard some great things about it. I may have to break out the PS2 to have a look.

Full Nudity. Sex sells.

I've been reading hype about this game for months. It certianlyhad plenty of industry buzz prior to it's release. I may have to go rent it and give it a whirl.

Grabbing the DVD9-->DVD5 rip off the newsgroups.

Newsleecher Supersearch peeps, search for gen-godw to find it.

Supposedly it freezes on level 4 but that shoudl be enough to see what the game's like. Glad I keep cans of compressed air handy so I can clear the dust off my PS2!

Pretty fun game : )

I'm not good with puzzles sometimes but I figured most out so far. Nice gameplay and graphics, etc.

BTW, the hooters on the woman in the cutscene right before you sleep with the two women has the better boobs but at least Kratos got two women at once.

Nudity and gore. Must be M-18 game.

This game requires Swap disk along with DVD loader to run but it was worth the look.

I don't like not being able to rotate my camera view but besides that it's all good.

This game is fucking spectacular.

Great story, great animation, boss battles that are just stellar. Well worth the $40.

Heres the story, i doubt its spoiler so i'll use the tag anyway.

[Show]
You play a mortal named Kratos. You made a deal with Ares to save your life but it now belongs to him. However over time you resent Ares and now are trying to kill Ares (the god of war) if you didnt know :)

Ok! Checked a bit more about the game on the sites and it looks good!

Seems like you can get different powers from the Gods, Zeus, Medusa, Artemis etc

Couldn't have said it better myself. I haven't gotten too far in the game because I've enjoyed playing the first level until I literally aced it. But, I'm looking forward to slamming through this one and I almost never finish games these days

my only gripe is it's incredibly short and the platforming you have to do to escape from hades is fucking a n n o y i n g (those stupid spinning tubes on the cliffs that you have to scale are covered in blades, and the game is a picky bitch about getting a pixel withint 6 inches of a blade..almost smashed my tv)

Finally picked this up a few days ago. I like it a lot, but one problem is.. I am already stuck. And not because of a puzzle.. the level im on is the one with the huge ass dude off in the background.. I come up to this platform and there are like 3 rounds of 3 of those guys that go underground, and an ogre.. I can't seem to kill them all without getting owned.. which is disturbing to me this early in the game.. I even broke down and tried using block (i hate blocking in any game) but against the ogre it is worthless. Any ideas ? I would hate to get frustrated and set this game aside for a few months when I just got it.

Right Analog stick, evade.

Aim for mob, Square, Square, Triangle. Rinse/Repeat.

If your blades of chaos are upgraded, you can follow that move up with Triangle, Triangle, Triangle.

Also... Don't fuck up when the Circle appears over the mobs head.

I 100% agree with you. However, there were a few mobs that had attacks block doesn't work on. I *think* the one he's talking about is one of such mobs, and thus, evade is the way to go.

Yeah, the mob im talking about is the big ogre looking thing. He has a big morning star type weapon that he flings at you, and blocking during it is a joke. Gonna pick it back up and try it today after work.

has anyone else deciphered the code at the end and called the number, i think i have the number laying around back here if anyone wants, but i beat that game one of the first days it was out and forget a lot.

the boobage was good, the graphics were awesome, the boss fights were insanely cool, kickass story, badass main character, simple yet satisfyingly difficult puzzles,

i loved this game, may just pick it up and play it again if i can fix my ps2. too much use of swap magic broke the cd tray.

I am a few days behind you guys on the luclin bashing, but you know... I was thinking to myself when I read his message.

At risk of sounding like an idiot because im not sure what swap magic is, but im guessing it is some kind of fucking homo game genie type things that children and otherwise under developed minds use to beat games that are beyond their means, how fitting for the luclin community.

In a fraction of the time it took you to type up that post you could have googled swap magic.

I beat the game a few days ago. I found the last part of the final battle to be go past the point of being challenging and into the category of obnoxious. I am curious, have any of you beat the game on god mode ? I am not even going to try- normal mode was annoying enough at times for me.
