mac safari VV problems?

Post by Kriista »

havent browsed through the boards in about a month or so

i headed back here day before yesterday and everything looks fine in a topic until the page finishes loading, then everything disappears(text/pictures etc..), the only thing that seems to stay is quotes

nothing like this happened before

can anyone shed some light on this or a possible repair, if so, do it in a PM otherwise i wont be able to read it(unless i freeze the browser at the EXACT right moment)

thanks

I installed some pretty fancy dhtml that should make it impossible to break the width of a thread (though I'm sure one of you asshats will make it your mission to do just that). So once the page loads, it does some sooper seekrit calculations and adjusts posts accordingly.

My suggestion would be to not use safari on a Mac!

The recent margin magic is the best mod that ever happened to this board! It's like performing liposucktion on fat images!

Except that the wide images only occur in 1% of threads and get whined about by 1% of the population, where as the fix is bloody irritating because the "go to last post" links don't work any more because the adjustment is done after the page load.

I'm not unappreciative of Sylvus' effort, just think you're squashing an ant with a sledgehammer.

Are you using something other than IE? I notice the page reformats after it loads each time but it doesn't effect the location you are on the page when it does.

It's great!

It's not just images. Some people like to be annoying and break the margins with lines of text. Which is really annoying.

As far as I'm concerned the bug deserves to be squashed with a sledgehammer!

You can also just turn off Javascript for this site, which allows the margins to break, but also doesn't break the browser.
