So Question about the newer expansions

Post by Sylvos »

Ok, FoH quit EQ at the beginning of Gates of Dischord which the general plotline that I could gleam was that Norrath was being invaded by creatures from another dimension or plane of dischord.

What has happened since then?
I understand there is a new dragon expansion?

Just interested in what they have done to the storyline of Everquest since we quit.

Gates of Discord was released where upon FoH completed about 1/2 to 2/3's of it. After seeing the direction of the game and with WoW coming out and beta's happening they quit.

Soon Omens of War was released which was in reality nothing more then completing the Gates of Discord expansion. OoW really opened the gates on the average player getting 'decent' loot relatively easily. New AA.

After Omens of War was Dragons of Norrath. having never played this expansion I cant comment much on it other then its 'basically' like Lost Dungeons of Norrath where upon you collect these thingys in these instances and turn them in for nice loot. There is also really nice Augments as well as some Dragons to fight. The final boss in DoN is apparently a tough bastard to kill (though upon release I understand he was a push over and CD mowed him down like a little bitch). New AA.

Thats all I know!

Technically DoN is like LDoN.. but it's not fair to compare the two. LDoN sucks balls while DoN is rather cool.
