So Topher Grace (That 70's Show) has signed on for Spiderman 3, apparently for a pretty large role. Anyone have any ideas on who they think he'll play?

I'm gonna say... ELECTRO!

Actually, probably someone like Electro. Topher has the right build for the Vulture, but not enough decades. Or the psycho who became Carnage.

He's playing Spiderman!

I dont think it will be Carnage, not enough time to develop Venom and Carnage. I also don't think he looks the part. The Vulture would be my real guess.

I would also put money on the HobGoblin.

Do we know if Tobey Maguire is on board to play spiderman? I am not sure how comfortable I'd be with the decision, but I could see them casting him to replace Maguire.

I'm pretty sure he signed on for 3 movies but you never know. I think I heard somewhere he hurt his back pretty bad for Seabiscuit and Spiderman 2 just killed it even more. He might have an out. I hope not though.

IMDB still shows Maguire in spiderman3, but they arnt showing topher in there. I know they arnt the pinnacle for movie news, but a good source of info.

Im certain Topher wont be playing Kraven heh

I do think dregor is correct, Electro would be good for Toph!

I thought Thomas Haden Church, from the sitcom "Wings" and more recently, "Sideways", was going to be the main villian, Sandman.

Are they going to do more than one villain per film? I certianly hope not.

i heard rumors that marvel plans to combine the characters from spiderman, x-men, and the hulk atc into one blockbuster movie. would be interesting.

Yeah, he is. Sandman hasn't been confirmed, but that's who everyone thinks it's gonna be. I know they said they wanted to make the villain very big visually, like effects wise, so Sandman fits the bill, but so does Venom really.

I'm no Spiderman expert, but I'm still going with my Electro guess.

And yes, Toby is still Spiderman.

Well one of the villains is going to be the son of the green goblin...hobgoblin is the name I think? So that's one for sure...the other who knows. Hopefully a hottie villain.

She arrived after Spidey met Sandman, Electro, Vulture etc

But who knows what they do in the movies! Sure hope they follow somewhat chronologically in Spidey 3

The son of green goblin is just green goblin again, hobgoblin comes after a few different people have become green goblin. For the movie I could see them making it making a shortcut to hobgoblin so they dont have the green goblin for two movies.
