Screen Shots: American Psycho (some blood/suggestive)

*IMAGE INTENSIVE*

So I decided to take some captures of this DVD as I was watching it... I had seen this particular film a few times and absolutely love it. Why not take some screenies and post them? I find that it can be quite enjoyable to view poignant moments in a film without actually viewing it in its entirety, so here goes: 8)

i didnt particularly care for the movie honestly. the book was very hip while i was in college, but i just thought the movie itself was too boring.

i understand that the character is supposed to be detached and all of that, but the movie to me just had no tone. i understand that the point is that i should be shocked and appalled by "everybody, naked and disfigured". but i wasnt.

I thought parts of the movie were great. There were some slow parts but overall the movie was successful in presenting a certified psycho in all his glory.

I hadn't read the book so had no reference while watching it.

Word is that the unrated director's cut is being re-released to DVD next month. :) I have not seen that version yet due to lack of availability.

You gonna love the new Batman movie then, he did some real serious training to get in Batman-shape.

He reached his maxweight and peak shape for that movie, going from his Machinist form to Batman form

Sure was a great transformation!

Machinist, i assume he weighed around 115-120 here

I loved the movie. The second one was terrible though.

I just read the book a few weeks ago, and it's better than the movie in that it conveys that the character is completely hiding his real personality (the psycho) underneath the veneer of fashion sense and pop culture references. What's more interesting is how that generic personality lets him slide between groups of people, as they just click him in to whatever open slot is present in their group, even calling him by the other person's name.

The books is awesome, it's pretty gory and brutal at times, but also funny (a chapter on the various pros and cons of old Genesis albums for example - in extreme detail).

I prefer the book to the film, but that's not a slight on the film, which is great. Bale does a brilliant job, I expect great things from Batman.
