saw similar to that growing up in Lubbock Texas. That's what happens when there is a breeze in a place that you can see from one side of town to the other it's so flat.

Those are posted on snopes and they say it's real.
I saw very similar storms in UAE, it's amazing. Like a wall of dirt rolling out of the desert. It really sucks during the winter, if it rains the day after one of those everything is coated with 2" of sandy, slimey mud.

Makes it hard to believe that the Middle East was a tropical paradise at one time.

Those are from the Al Assad Airbase. My brother is stationed there, I can assure you those are real (he e-mailed us the pictures like a week ago).

Aren't you one of "those" people who moved to Oregon from a fucked up state?

We get like 5 of those a year, they aren't rare!
If you've ever been in the air while one of them is approaching town, it looks exactly the same. Giant wall of brown dirt!

That is amazing. I thought scenes like that only happened in hollywood movies. I think I would be scared shitless the first time I experienced one of those first hand. Much like someone who has never experienced a severe snow storm and moved up north. The locals are used to it.
