Old timey raids

Post by Tangurena »

The guild I am in, quit doing emp raids last year. On the server y'all will be merging with, there is only one guild attempting to do Emp Ssra at all.

Personally, I would like to finish off my Vex Thal key, as I've only been collecting shards for almost 3 years.

If I was going to organize some, they would be on weekends. But first, I'd like to get some kind of idea of interest.

And before you flame me for "6 expansion old shit," yes, I know it is old stuffs.

good luck. i used to work with some other guys about 5 years ago to put together pick up raids. its not necessarily the best way to go about things, but hey it is a thing of necessity, right?!

anyway, good luck.

Emp kills 4tw.

Would be great to get access to the most mind-numbingly boring hell-hole of a zone SoE ever released.

I need some help ex Legion/Ixtlan'ers. Which guild leader got stuck in the Emperor's room after a failed raid and got to watch us prepare for our Emperor Raid in the ready room until we ported them out?

Trias? Or maybe he went up while prepping. May not have been a failed raid I don't know! I think I remember Sylvus made some nice artwork on that.

It was Trias that ran past us with Loky trying to "claim" the spawn. With the 30 or so of us popping in right behind him (that was the second time they did that).

I made this after that night.

Not only no ... but hell no ...wait ...HELL NO.

The whole shard camp/key parts/emp/vt was such a mind numbing experience.

I don't know...it's a toss up between Vex Thal and Emperor for most irritating key camps.

Veeshan's Peak seemed like such a bitch during the Kunark expansion (but fun) before Luclin but SOE really put the time sinks in with those two keys.

For me, that zone is called Bastion of Thunder. With Plane of Fire baking a flaming butt cheek burning second.

Phase Three though....... enough said about mind numbingly boring.
VT key was by far worse than VT, mainly cause of those shitty lets camp some stupid skelly in FV and pray that the shard of the medallion drops! VT was at least somewhat interesting and you didnt have to spend 12+ hours in KC to get that damn thing to spawn to get your last piece.

I am not even talking about the key camp. I am talking about the worthless piece of shit zone itself.
Who in there right mind thought it would be fun to make mobs with eleventy billion AC and HPs, and then make them split into another eleventy billion AC and HP mob when you kill it. And oh by the way there are about 70 thousand of them between you and any worthwhile mob in the zone.

I remember that Emp raid with Ixt/Leg... I was on PD's side and ended up getting left out of the port out. The GM came and teleported me to the middle of Oasis... Oh man did he get a piece of my mind, funny now that I look back at it though =)

I'll be around for a month or so, leaving at the start of July though.
Send me a tell if you get around to doing the Emp.
Would love to help out.
