Shaun of the Dead
I just finished watching this Low budget Indy Brit film. It is basically a Romero-Esque zombie flick...mucho humor and fun zombie massacre fun!
If you like Romero, mild-gore and cheeky horror, this is the film for you!
I will be buying this on DVD whenever it comes out!

Saw a sneak preview in DC a couple of nights ago. Great flick. A lot of references laced throughout the movie along with a good balance of zombie gore and humor. Sorry, humour. And there was a Q&A with the two leads and director afterwards.
Highly recommend this film. Will own it when it comes out on DVD.
Two severed and rotting thumbs up.

This finally made it to my town and I caught the matinee on Saturday. There were a total of three people in the audience. It was pretty good and I will get it on DVD to add to my Zombie Collection. Definitely a different style of Zombie movie though. It was a well thought out and acted movie and the humor was well placed.

Movie was fantastic on many different levels.
ED: "Well your mum called and asked if you were comin' round tommorow. And then Liz called and asked if you two were eating out tonight. And then your mum called back and asked if I wanted to eat her out tonight."
Shaun: "What?"

Oh, and your poet Eliot had it all wrong:

Shawn of the dead is amazing!
Canelek if you like the sort of humour that Simon Pegg (Shawn) does, a lot of the cast are essentially the best comics in Britain, they collaborate a lot, SOTD being the best known worldwide thing they did.
They have a ton of other shows that are shown on Channel 4 or BBC here in Britain.
Which are:
Spaced - with Simon Pegg, cracker little oddball sitcom.
Black Books - The guy who fancies Shawns GF heads this show, also has a few other cast members from SOTD in it. I highly recommend this, the guy (Dylan Moran) although unlikeable in SOTD (being the "baddie" girlfriend lurker) is SOOOOOOOOOO AMAZING in this (he plays an Irish drunk
), definately one of the funniest shows in Britain.
Brass Eye - Made by a guy called Chris Morris, who sort of leads this bunch by default due to how amazing he is.
(He is actually infinitely funnier than Simon Pegg), If you see any Chris Morris material, ever, get it, you will not be disappointed.
Big Train - Another Simon Pegg and co off the wall comedy sketch show, a bit hit and miss, but worth a watch, sometimes hilarious.
Little Britain - Another show done by 2 comedians, one of which makes a brief appearance in SOTD.
Finally, the girl who is friends with Shawns GF (the drama student who gets killed saving her BF) is in "The Office" made by a guy called Ricky Gervais, this show is absofuckinglutely hilarious (and makes you cringe) and I definately recommend it to EVERYONE!
I saw the American version of the office and without Gervais as the main character, it loses everything that made the office the absolute classic it is.
Oh I forgot; Simon Pegg is also in a film called "24 hour party people" but I haven't seen it, so can't say if it's good or not.
Hope that helps
