What's the one slot you neglected for the longest period of time on your main character?
I got lucky and killed Quill early on and got an AC 7 (lol) Pegasus cloak and wore that thing for years until I got a Cloak of Sky in NToV and then I neglected it again therafter all the way through Plane of Time.
So what was your weak/neglected slot!?
Edit: typos

Pants
had leather until at least lvl 20 while by then i had upgraded to ringmail in many slots. i borrowed barbed legs from like 32-36 when i finally got Silver plated leggings. which i auto destroyed when looting after a hill giant killed me. so i was totally naked for a few days until i got some more SP legs. Legs were my first piece of planar armor though, so had that slot locked down for a couple years there! also didnt have to wait terribly long for the ToV legs.
ironically, it was my weakest slot when i quit too, as i had ToV there, even though all my other slots were elemental/time or better, hehe.

I was a gimp. I had a emerald dragonscale tunic that Nino gave me at level 20 and wore it until I got the Jenniys Two-tone Cuirass on a griegs raid.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Breastplate, no question. Which is kind of silly for being a GL and tank, but it just happened that way.
I wore a Dwarven Mithril Tunic (second magic item I ever looted) until I around level 35, which got me the nickname "Crackwhore Jice" in Ook due to how all chain looked on old school DE females. At that point, I started living in CT and quested a full set of Darkforge, the chest piece of which remained on me until a year or so later, when Adelrune, Garvok, and I were camping PKC in Solb for god knows what reason and the mithril BP dropped. I wore mithril for the better part of a year until well into the Corps existance when I got an umbral BP while co-raiding fear with golden era CD. That BP was replaced by a Dragon Quest BP halfway into Velious, which I was even reluctant to loot at the time due to how godlike warriors were around that period. That BP lasted until about a month before I disbanded The Corps, when I got that NTOV BP with the clickable buff who's name escapes me. I wore that BP all the way until plane of time and my eventual retirement.
I think the last week of the Corps existance I had a chance at a Vindi BP (after farming them for litererally ever single main and major alt character in the guild over the span of several years), but let some guest to the raid loot it, or that would have been my final BP in all probability. I also kept a spare suit of Umbral (and later PoG) for wipe recovery until PoP trivialized that aspect of the game. Finally, I think I retired with a complete set of the armor that ragefire dropped, and even carried an extra bracer of it on my person for the long range clicky nuke on it that I used for pulling. So spares aside, I think I managed to use a total of six BPs over my entire six year character lifespan.

War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."
Dwight Eisenhower

Ah yes, I was lucky enough to get the Lunar Fungus Covered Tunic from Vex Thal that was a fungi tunic but with 100 hp/mana and resists. I never could give up that regen. On the plus side, it looked much better than the Time BPs in DE form.Aslanna wrote:Uh.. Fungi tunic. Well into PoTime farmage... But don't tell anyone. Mainly by the time I was ready to upgrade they stopped dropping for awhile. Stupid Bert.
After that would be waist. Had Dain belt until a few months ago.
