No it suxx0rz. Now that block will no longer completely block special abilities like Mortal Strike, shield block is 100% dogshit. It REALLY needs to be more like, block value + 15% of the damage dealt absorbed. In its current state, it is absolutely worthless. The Protect Spec tree needs some serious reworking.
I have the patch hosted.. if you want a link, PM me or request it here.
All I ask is that my bandwidth is not abused, and if it is, the file will be removed within seconds.
I have the v1.2.4 -> v1.3.0 patch hosted
Size: Approx 60mb
My source: 3dgamers
I also have the full patch hosted, but i prefer if you use the other one if at all possible
Size: Approx 115mb
My source: Fileplanet
Both sources are seemingly legitimate, but use them at your own risk. I take no responsibility for problems, and I haven't tested either patch (don't even play).
There is a bug with the mage armor spell that will cause it not to stack with the AM talent. But, you have to produce that bug yourself by cancelling mage armor on your own or over writing it with ice armor. Then the talent won't work untill you re log. You will still get the 30% from the mage armor though when you put it back on. Not a big deal if you don't have AM and a slight issue if you do. I can honestly say that this buff helps greatly in areas where you are not the AoE tool by cutting down on time spent on your ass drinking and catching up with everyone or making them wait. /shrug that's just my opinion though.
It was a disaster patch for hunters. no idea what blizz is thinking, it's like the devs said "hey, lets make a weak class even weaker, and even tho their dps is where it's sufficient, lets nerf them some more".
I seroiusly dont see why they did that, even tho it was a bug to begin with, we didnt encroach upon mage or rogue damage.
Now hunters bring even less to the table then before, and it wasnt a hell of a lot before either.
Yeah I havent felt this much anal penetration from a patch since they nerfed Disease cloud agro on SKs back in early Luclin. I thought I was safe from being assfucked by taking a popular DPS class, but thats my luck I guess. Mind you, I also had a Sandfury Guardian I spent a week or two feeding and leveling up deleted as well.
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.

Hunters? No. Rogues need love, esp at the top end. It wouldn't be bad if they were allowed to close and do their job but right now, anything with an AE means rogues go hide in a corner and play with themselves, whilst the tanks tank, the healers heal and everyone else (incl hunters) goes to town with ranged DPS.
Hunters in WoW whine almost as bad as the paladins in EQ, for less reason. You can solo with ease and you have group desirability for those who know wtf you can do for CC/offtanking as well as DPS. A couple bugs (yeah we ALL have those to address) does not mean you need a class revamp.

Actually, you should play the class before rendering that judgement. A lot of the whines are pretty stupid, granted. But some are valid, like doing less damage than non DPS classes atm, the ridiculous upkeep costs of the class (they are worse than a warrior), and also (though I don't care about this) their complete impotance in PvP. Most of these issues stem from the fact that hunters were the last class pushed out the door, and are still the last thing on the devs priority list (behind buffing shaman /boggle) as evidenced by the complete lack of any developer posts on the hunter board.
Rogues have their own set of issues, but honestly, they have the easiest ride to 60 and can farm cash like a madman compared to all other classes. They can solo much easier than a hunter (ie a hunter generally has no chance against a same level elite) and do more damage than any other single class. If you have PvPed at all with rogues present, you know how massively good they are there as well. Their one caveat is requiring dedicated healing against AE mobs. The real problem is the Blizzard endgame design creativity seems to stop with "Luclin length fight versus mob with Assrape AE" and healers are generally in too short of supply to spare some for the sole task of healing the five billion rogues that want to show up for every raid. Once we start seeing encounters that involve more add control and less "duck the unresistable cornhole AE" rogues will be fine in raids.

I only played my alt hunter to 30 so, yes I may not have experienced first hand all the bugs, trials and tribulations. I have played along side hunters all through my ride to 60.
Upkeep cost? In my experience it isn't as bad to level 30 as fixxing the warrior's gear. And when I compare notes on repairs at 60, I still win...er... lose....er whatever. However I can see if you don't have access to a pet food supply this could also impact the cost.
Impotence in PVP I can't comment on except to say I don't see why any ranged class can not take out any melee. Period. I'll admit I am not the most experienced PVPer but when I have dueled hunters, they run while their pet chews the fuck out of me or if deal with the pet, they shoot me and I still die. Against mages/warlocks/druids I have no idea how you will fare. Solo PvP rogues are killing machines but once they lose the stealth aspect, their ability sinks like a rock.
Inability to solo? Well I can't solo an elite my level either. Actually unless I have a 3 level edge on an elite, soloing it isn't even a gambling option. Waaa. I have witnessed a level 43 hunter and bear pet soloing elites 3-4 levels higher.
Doing less damage than a non-DPS class? WTF? If you're AFK in melee range maybe. What non-DPS class? I knowI know a hunter in melee is a rogue with no tricks, but hunters I have seen conversing say that although the content patch read as a nerf, their parses were showing increases in dps.
I agree that rogues can rocket to 60 if they are smart and want to. They can also farm some coin (they have been nerfed pretty hard there which I think is only fair btw). They run into issues like you said, in the Luclin Design School of raid mobs. By the same tokenI don't really think any ranged class in WoW has a lot of room for complaint as things stand. Everyone has bugs and peeves.
