Some good games mentioned here
.
I take it that you mean the ORIGINAL Dune Waran , not Dune 2, Dune 2000, Dune 2000+ ultra extra version with double the color removal
As for games i would love to see remade, one of them already came through, Pirates. The new one are FUN.
But my list:
Dune 1 (i love adventures, it is still a great game). (Amiga/PC)
Ghost N Goblins/Ghoul N Ghosts (C64/amiga)
TIE Fighter (PC)
Gabriel Knight 1 (loved that game too, one of the best non-lucasarts adventures). (PC)
The Tex Murphy games (hell, even a new one would do, but i want more Tex
) (PC)

Lets see.
X-Com got remade (more or less) into that HORRIBLY UFO game. Stay away at any cost.
Maniac Mansion did get a fan remake, Maniac Mansion Deluxe. Found at http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?id=4894

If you never tried it, i can REALLY reccomend that you head over to http://www.the-underdogs.org/game.php?gameid=345 and download it, and give it a shot. I own originals of this game on both the PC and amiga.

/em Spanks Lohrno for even thinking Dune originally were RTS. The first Dune game were a BRILLIANT adventure game, although with some strategic elements (you had to train troops and fight the Harkonnen, but were talking fights as train and equip troops, send them to fight, eventually go there to support, and hope youre strongerLohrno wrote:That was a RTS right? The one that came out about 1994?Waran wrote:Yep, the original Dune (Before Dune 2000 came out)

Haha Cool! I just looked it up. UFO:Aftermath be its name. Even though it may suck, I'd buy it from the bargain bin if i saw it. Heh heh.
Dunno if ya were talking about the USA or Japanese releases but FFIV and FFVI were released for the SNES as FFII and FFIII (respectively) in USA. (lol that sentence looks funny)
The most we'll probably ever get are the PS1 bundles packages. You can find all them cheap. But if they did it, I'd be there..
I think a Final Fantasy VII remake or sequel has been (vaguely) tossed around but as far as I've heard, there's little to no concern for that until Advent Children is finished.
Chrono Trigger would be pretty darn cool too. Chrono Cross sucked! A Dragon Warrior or Ultima would be groovy as well.. all polygonical and 3-d like and stuff.
Oh yeah. Ikari Warriors only if the levels were insanely long, there were no save points and 'A,B,B, A' still worked!

If that was directed towards me, I meant Japanese release numbers (otherwise 5 wouldn't have made much sense having never been US released).Erolz NTurnet wrote:Dunno if ya were talking about the USA or Japanese releases ...
6 would be nice too, that by far is my favorite FF version of those that I've finished. I never played 7, 9, or X-2, 8 drove me crazy after an hour, never finished 10.

Totally agree on VI. Great game but (though I've tried) I just can't find the time to play through it again. Also agree with you on VIII, drawing magic from baddies got kinda boring!

Believe me, DONT. Im a X-Com fan, i got all the X-COM games, including Email X-Com, and i downloaded UFO, its horrible.Erolz NTurnet wrote:Haha Cool! I just looked it up. UFO:Aftermath be its name. Even though it may suck, I'd buy it from the bargain bin if i saw it. Heh heh.

Hehe, Spice Opera are actually my least favorite number, not sure which one i prefer, Free Men, or Ecolove.
On 2nd thought, Ecolove are best
Waran, you know how to use Bittorrent? If so, ill make a torrent and seed the CD for a few days. Im sure others than the 2 of us will enjoy it

Very spooky, was just looking that up today
Been all over trying to search for it on the net!
I would definately love Spice Opera or the songs related to the game. Wouldn't complain if the entire soundtrack was available too.
The site says EXXOS put out the soundtrack (Which was the name of the company before it changed to Cryo Interactive), but it was apparently a french composer who produced the songs for the game.
Anyway, if you can host the entire CD or just the 3 songs and get them to me, I'll send ya some VVs
Haven't used BitTorrent in awhile, but should still work on my machine.
PM me with any info, can't wait!

Just keep it running, its Piratebays tracker, can take a while for it to be able to connect.
Or it could be down
. Im not connected either ATM, but i will again when it can see the server again. 40+ people downloaded it so far, so it should be working
Or it could be down

War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.

This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

As for Sam & Max, feel free to write hatemails to LucasArts for cancelling Sam & Max 2.

Ditto the Mutant League Football/Hockey (You can't miss when you introduce chansaws and bombs to Madden/NHL Hockey, which already rocked ass on so many levels for Genesis)
They number one game I'd like to see remade though is Unreal Tournament. And yes, I have played UT2k3 and UT2k4 and no they are not UT.

Master of Magic - I still play the original too much
Master of Orion 2 - MOO3 shouldn't even be allowed to use the same name. Totally disgusting game. MOO2 could be re-released with just a few enhancements to AI and more in depth ship building. If I could decompile the original, I would do it myself.
Diablo 2 - This is a mindless game but loads of fun and I would buy a few more expansions for it.
Warlords - they made a couple of new ones but none was really as good as the original.
Battletech - the original amiga version was lots of fun. I have never been able to get it to work through an emulator.
