Oops

Post by Bubba Grizz »

So I was sending some stuff to my mule character and for some reason I didn't spell the name quite right, I left out a letter. So now my stuff is on it's way to some other guy with a similar named character. I just wanted to warn folks to becareful when doing this so you don't mess up like I did. It wasn't anything big that I sent but could be worth some gold.

On a side note: I got killed by a 62 Elite Green Dragon in Swamp of Sorrows. It hit me while I was in a fight and killed me with basically 1 hit.
Ouch.

Put your mule in your friends list, that way it will autofill in the name when you write the first few letters, voila, problem solved!

My name in EQ was Moonwynd...for many, many years. When I tried FFXI, CoH, EQ2...it was Moonwynd as well. So my guild moves to WoW...and I try to make "Moonwynd"...but it will not let me. So I go with "Moonwynde". Twice now a guildmate has sent me something in the mail...but left off the "e" on the end of my name (easy mistake since I have been without the E and with the same guild for a long time).

So "Moonwynd" has received two engineering schematics. I actually ran into the other Moonwynd in the AH...and he said, "Haha you copied my name loser". To which I replied, "I have used the name Moonwynd going on 6 years in online gaming". To which he responds, "I bet you were pissed that you couldn't use it again lol". I said, "not really...just bummed because you have gotten two of my schematics in the mail". He just laughed and went on his way.

There really was no point to my story. Just wanted to blabber

Yeah i am kinda thinking that is what is going to happen to me. I sent the stuff thinking I was sending to Kvahda when in truth it was going to Kvada.
Oh well, at least it wasn't a bunch of gold.

I'm pretty sure if the game cant find a person with that name, it will come back to the sender. if not you can petition a GM and they can look into it.

invalid names are rejected automatically, if the mail is sent it means there's a person with that name on your server and he's getting your stuff

yeah I tried making an alt quick to see if the name was taken and it was. It was only 2 stacks of stranglekelp. Just means that I'll have to farm it again later.
