Ok, I'm lookin for a few peices at the lowest possible price. Here is what I'm seeking the following for my windows-based computer:
(2) 512 MB SDRAM RAM Chips($79 per)
(1) CD/DVD Burner ($46)

While I usually use LITE-ON for my DVD/CD drives, I searched newegg for all DVD burners under $50 and these were what was returned:

You're not going to get the memory you want for that price if you want good RAM. Kingston's "ValueRAM" is $90 for 512 meg. And I wouldn't recommend that flavor of memory to anyone.
The cheapest RAM chip that I would think about putting in one of my systems would be these: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDe ... 136&depa=0. They are a little over $100 each.
