What is wrong with their POS servers?! I mean for Christ's sake I can never play anymore! I hardly play to begin with, but when I do want to log on to play, the servers are not even playable! Why am I even paying for a game that I can't play?!?! I'm sorry guys, but EQ was never as bad as this is.

4 of the 5 servers I've played chars to 20+ on have had fairly significant problems. Random disconnects, extended outages, server freezes for 15+ mins...just unplayable.

It's absolutely ridiculous, and inexcusable. I love the fucking game but just now I had to kill the WoW.exe process because I'd been sitting for roughly 8 minutes on the wrong/opposite side of an instance portal. Then when I tried to exit game, this giant fucking middle finger came out at me and I heard a voiceover say You Cannot Log Out.

Some of that could've been my imagination, but I couldn't fucking log out after waiting to zone into an instance for 8 mins, which leaves me delirously angry!

ROFL...same for me. I was trying to get into Zul Furrak and nothing was happening. It let me log out, and when I logged back in, I was in Thunder Bluff. OWN!

Switched from a high pop server to Gorefiend day after release, and never had problems there. I have characters on a few other servers, and I haven't had problems on any of them either. It might have to do with which time zone you're picking. It's too bad that you can't actually "see" the timezone anymore. The servers that I know of as being fine for me are: (PvP) Gorefiend, Firetree, Tichondrius, Sargeras, & (PvE) Elune. I haven't stayed on many of the others enough to tell how stable they are.

Stormreaver has been quite kind to me. Aside from occasional ~10min waits to get on it's been pretty solid. I think this might be on all servers, but the bugged nodes are the most frustrating thing ever. I blame them directly for the fact that my mining skill is about 60% on my engineering skill and I've had to buy stacks of ore/bars in the AH...

It seems to me that Whisperwind has been getting progressively worse over the past 2-3 weeks or so. Got so frustrated tonight I just logged.. Well, I tried to but it wouldnt let me camp, so I had to minimize and then close it manually...

Whisperwind has been pretty fucked up lately, which is odd since it had been quite stable since release.... ah well, aside from the recent frustrations, I <3 this game. Hopefully, they will get it worked out.

Bloodhoof's been pretty shitty lately too. The server's did quite a few rollbacks today. Luckily some were before I logged on, and the others while I was in an instance, so I didn't get affected.

SOE's problem was in-game content (events, quests, tuning).
Blizzard's problem seems to be strictly hardware related... being unable to handle the load of people interacting at the same time.

The lag and such doesn't seem to start until the PST folks start logging on @9:00-9:30 EST on WW.

Lightbringer was one of the Bad 20, that was shut down for 24hrs and rebuilt last week. Before that, it was garbage, now, its playable although there are still occasional lags spikes (worse after yesterday's "maintenance"). I have to agree: I love the game but the server support is shit.

This is great news for the WoW vs EQ2 crowd. Should provide some more ammunition for a few more flame threads.

On the other hand. EQ servers are pretty stable. Guess all those people leaving was good for something.

I'm on Sargeras and it's been crap! When it's crap, I usually head over to Whisperwind to say hi to folks and it's usually crappy there as well.

As far as the whole EQ2 vs. WoW thing, they both have their good points and they both have their flaws. IMO, EQ2 really caters to a more "hard-core" audience while WoW caters to a more casual playerbase. Since I'm strictly a casual player, I'll stick to a casual game. It's just as simple as that.

I couldn't even get to the char select screen for WW last night. Craptastic, truly.

Logged on just fine last night from a Hotel room with wireless on my laptop. I've had a few queues but nothing major... given I haven't had much playtime lately but when I have I've actually gotten to play.

Hayley, Hows that baby? If I remember correctly he was the only kid I had ever seen that could rival, and possibly beat, my little Joseph on cuteness / handsomness :) Everything going well?

If Blizzard sticks to schedule, you should see the patches and fixes sometime around April of 2007.

I have to say that I am very close to killing this account. I rarely get to play, maybe once or twice a week if I am lucky and it seems like the server is down more then up. If this was the first week, or just after a expansion fine, but what 6 months into the game and they still can't figure this crap out???

Pathetic. I am almost agreeing with Miir now....almost...WoW still beats EQ2 though.

edit: cute kid haley. I still am glad mine are past that stage though.

I remembered correctly :) That's a great pic, Joseph love bath time as well. We got some bath crayons about 4 months ago and now write letters and numbers all over the walls, spell names etc... he loves it and I actually think it has helped him learn his letters, numbers, colors etc...
