No. When you live in a country it is your duty to adapt to its culture, not vice versa.Sionistic wrote:Whats wrong with places having spanish options? The only problem I see is places not having spanish and people complaining about that. However that isnt liberalism, thats capitalism.

Yeah because there are no tourists at all!Midnyte_Ragebringer wrote:No....I don't. Why the fuck would they have English options in France. If you go to France, you whould learn to speak the language.Kelshara wrote:Yet you would expect to make calls in English in France, Sweden or any other country. Double standards at it's best. Why else would there be an option when you call places for the call to be in Spanish?

No company in a mixed area is going to offer English-only services, because money talks and it would be suicidal to eliminate potential customers simply to make a point (a point which I disagree with, btw).Sionistic wrote:No company in an mixed area is going to offer english only services because they feel it is a person's duty to learn the language. This system of government does not promote mixing very well.
The Boney King of Nowhere.
I'm all ok for having multilanguage signs everywhere. Personally I think people should be able to speak more than 1 language and speak it well. What's that old joke about bilingual for 2, trilingual for 3 and American for 1? somthing like that...
I think we should start teaching French, German, Spanish, Arabic etc... in Elementary School, best time for the kids to pick it up.
What I DO NOT like though is this teaching in Spanish that happens primarily in Texas. If you go to the public schools in the US I think you should speak English primarily. If you don't know it that's fine, nothing against immagrants we all were at one time really but lets move them towards speaking english so that they can speak both. To eventually really succeed in the country you need to speak English. I think it's unfair to the immagrant, the teachers and taxpayers to teach in Spanish.
And lets please not use liberal in this, lets remember that it's President Bushie that wants to allow illegal immagrants the many of the same opportinities and rights that their LEGAL bretheren and Americans have, all while kickin' the crap out of the common man, damn what a good person he is...

Taco Cabana is notorious for bad order taking. Hell even in the restaurant they bone up the order 50% of the time. However they have the best frozen margaritas ever at a fast food joint!Boogahz wrote:I ran into that one time....once. Other times I can read the receipt and it says what I actually ordered, but what is in the bag looks nothing like it. This has happened to me so much at Taco Cabana that I gave up on the Drive-thru and just order to-go.Truant wrote:And to be perfectly honest. What time I served in the food service, 99% of the time, the CUSTOMER forgot to order it special, or just flat out ordered the wrong thing. Then LIED and said I or my coworkers gave the wrong food out.
And they left the establishment really believing they were right.
