I have a stack of healing potions. How do I take one potion off that stack to say, give to someone else?

I'm kidding. Shift click brings up a box where you can increase or decrease the amount to transport via the super duper mouse pointer.

Just realize that when you "drop" the potion that you split, you will have to put it in your inventory rather than trade. Then you can pick that up and trade it.

Yes, if you shift click and select one, then put that in a trade window, it will send the whole group. You must split them in your inventory first before transfering items anywhere as singles. Or any other number.

Thanks to the WoW tradeskill system shift-clicking has becoming almost obsolete.

Lord I hated smithing in EQ...
