The mafia and detectives will be picked shortly after 8pm PST.
The First Night Will Fall by 9pm PST.
Please be sure to check your PMs tonight for assignment! Citizens will not recieve a PM. All players will be chosen at random... names drawn from a hat if I have to.

Mafia will have - barring any changes to the propsed timetable for the first day - until 10AM tommorow PST to order their kills, due to the late start for the game this evening.

When the mafia are chosen, the final time allotment will be given to them in PMs. First day schedule will be a little goofy, but the rest of the week will be perfect. There will be time for all events to occur, so no worries.

Detectives, when you send in your trial requests, please send them to Fash. Mafia, I will serve as your Angel of Death; I shall be as the knife in your hand as you sever the throats of those that oppose you.

Less than 6hrs remain for signups.

Current game odds:
31 players have entered the game.
The pot stands at 5,195VV's.
Your current odds of being a major player in this game are around 29%.
Your current odds of being the detective are about 10%.
Your current odds of being a member of one of the three mafia teams is 19%.
Your current odds of being a citizen are 71%.
Your current odds of making it through the game are arbitrary and rely solely on the actions of the mafia not deciding to kill you, the detectives deciding not to try you, and the ability of 97% of the players to vote you not guilty...

Good luck.

Night has fallen. Mafia.. you know who you are.
Send me your wishes, and I shall make them reality.

Three of you will die tonight by the wishes of the 3 Crimebosses. Your deaths will not likely be swift nor pleasant. Hope that you have not angered anyone in your travels.. and also hope that you have, because that makes you less of a target.

At 10am PST tommorow, Fash will begin taking Trial requests from the 3 detectives. There will be 2 trials. Fash will take over from there for the daylight portion of the game...

...then your fates belong to me, once more.

A haircut to die for.

The attractive, raven haired woman had heard about the new hair salon that had opened up on the corner of 5th and Jasmine in downtown Sanctuary. It wasn't even that bad of a day outside - the wind was soft and the skies were most clear. Every few minutes a small snowflake drifted down from above to be picked out of the sky by the tongue of the small children running down the street. She smiled to herself as she entered the salon, not noticing the faint glimmer in the eyes of the lady at the cash register. "Le special o' zee day is a gentle massage weet special cleansing oils tha' will make zee scalp feel as if eet was not even there," she purred in a very marked accent.

The woman smiled at the offer and quickly agreed to the full treatment. Before long, she had her mineral massage and had been placed in a barber's chair with a towl wrapped around her head - just below her hairline. The oils had felt so good that all she could feel now was a slight tingling sensation across the top of her head as she closed her eyes and let the stylist work her magic with her fingers and her scissors. Just as she was about to drift off, she felt a sudden yet very brief pain in the back of her head. When she yelped, the styilist apologized with her ever so sweet voice. "oh! Tis no worries madam, mine scisors, they did not mean to nick you. I promise, you won't feel a thing after," she promised - lieing about the nature of the wound as she quickly hid the syringe under a towel on the counter behind her.

The stylist was right - Nneena didn't feel a thing. The anestetic caused her to black out as the hit woman went to work carrying out her master's wishes. Thirty minutes into the procedure, the hairdresser administered an antivenom that purged the contents of the drugs from her system. The last thing Nneena saw was her own reflection, a silent scream of horror on her lips as she saw her exposed brain - and then the scisors that acred through the air and bisceted her frontal lobes. Paralyzed, she could do nothing else as the assassin reached for a razor and took a few more off the top.

She died just after the razor cleared off the front quarter of her brain. The assassin smiled and stepped away from her grisly task before pulling her cellphone free of her apron. "She is of zee done," she told the masterminds. "I await zee next orders."

RIP Citizen NneenaFS.

Rest in Pieces
He didn't rememeber what had led him to the truck stop late at night, but it didn't matter. All that mattered were the two figures in black jackets that watched him and laughed at his struggles as they entered their semi trucks, the ropes that bound his arms and legs to their hubcaps, and muffed sounds he could only attempt to make through the duct tape covering his mouth.

The two trucks took off at the same time, moving at less than a mile an hour. Every time the tires roated, the ropes grew taught. The mafia kept up this game for several long, terrifying minutes before slamming the pedal to the metal.

Animale's torso was found a mile a way from the truckstop.
His arms and legs were never recovered.

RIP Citizen Animale

39 minutes remain until either the final citizen is executed and the Trials of the first day begins, or two mafia members are replaced.. after some housekeeping is finished. Fash will be accepting the PM for this.. I'll be otherwise occupied until 11am PST.

Many hours ago...

Music was playing as Lynks locked up the last truck in the back of Home Depot. It was a catchy tune from the 70's.. "Stuck in the Middle with You", he thought it was called. He was happily humming it under his breath as he secured the debolt and walked back into the Depot, only to be greeted with a fist in his teeth and a blunt edge of a crowbar slamming into his back just over his kidneys.

When he fell, he hit the ground hard. The two shadowy strangers didn't waste time with words as they kicked, punched, and beat him to a bloody pulp. They forced him to his knees and shoved the hook of the crowbar into his mouth. Ignoring his screams and protests, they pulled him from the loading dock into the center of the agreesively-orange themed hardware store. One of them pulled out a knife with a dual serrated edge and a tip that ended with a pronged point. As Lynks began to beg for mercy, the figure slammed the crowbar into the side of his jaw, dislocating it complete from both joints. He yelled as the hitman bent down and placed the edge of the knife under his earlobe as the other mafioso pinned him down.

They spent five long minutes cutting his ears off. When his screams became too monotonous for them to put up with any longer, the knife wielding killer found a 1/4th inch cordless drill set already charged and ready to go.

He didn't scream for long after that.

RIP Citizen Lynks

Day 1

You are startled awake by the sound of emergency vehicles... It is an unusually late morning for Veeshan Island, but no less beautiful than usual. As the sirens fade into the distance, your mind drifts to the courtroom.

Court will come to order shortly, and 2 of you will be accused of last nights heinous crimes.

i want to know who i am being accused of b/c it would be nice to hear some logic behind my accusation. i know in my past lives i have made mistakes but i suffered for those already. hell i had my knee bashed in, i was shot in the face, and some ate my motherfucking cake! i would be stupid to carry on my old ways. i am nothing more than an innocent civilian who wants only that the mafia to be brought to justice so that i can carry on with this delicious german chocolate delight.

Not Guilty.

At first I thought, Why would a citizen be interested in what logic lies behind their accusation? A mafia would though as it might give them a clue as to who the detective is.

But, why would a Mafia be that careless? A real mafia would have thought of something better to say most likely.

The judge says, "In this game, you have no rights. You're given the opportunity to defend yourself and that is all."

Lohrno, yes there are 3 mafia teams. 6 total mafia and 3 total detectives.

His defense: There's no way I could've murdered anyone; I was doing nothing but studying for an exam (that I believe I have failed miserably) all day (and night). By studying, I mean playing World of Warcraft, of course.

I must vote guilty for nobody. Everyone knows, that in the first round of voting, detectives pretty much must hazard a complete guess as there is no record or past history of voting to go on. His elaborate defense suggests he has something to hide, whereas a simple "This is the first round of voting, the detective just chose my name for the hell of it," would seem that much more convincing. His attempt at a smoke and mirror defense by falling back to citing a lesson learned from his previous lives is an obvious hoax to try and convince us that "if he did it before, he won't do it again". Guilty.
