Dropping the Hammer.

Post by Lohrno »

Okay folks, I'm dropping the hammer so to speak.

I've done some thinking it over...

Updated Rules:

There will be 3 gangs of 2 Mafia. (which makes 6 mafia total)

There will be 3 detectives. Who all know who eachother are and work together. You 3 can bring 2 people to trial each day until there are 4 mafia.

I will not accept more signups. If you haven't signed up by now, I'm guessing you won't be active enough to make it interesting anyways. Sorry about that. I'm going to need some time to prepare. Mafia might be able to make their first kills over the weekend if all goes as to plan. Trial will start monday morning (hopefully at around 11pm PST) should this be the case. If not, the first night will fall monday.

If you have not received a PM from me, you are a citizen.

Some reminders: Detectives, you are encouraged to PM me some evidence for me to present in an anonymous way. You can get together and choose methods of execution in the case that trial is successfull.

Mafia: You can also choose method of death. Please cooperate with your partners. I may consider some punishments if I see this is not the case. :)

Night 1

As the close of the day comes everyone is tucked in at home. There are 3 of you that will not make it through the night. The rest of you will breathe a sigh of fresh air tomorrow, and be ready to decide the fate of 2.

Mafia, send me your kills please. :)

Note: Day will begin either monday or tuesday morning.

Tenuvil has a shitty job.

Tenuvil was working overtime to make ends meet at his job - supervisor at the local sewage treatment plant. Most everyone had gone home by now, but Tenuvil had to check the machines for hazards to make sure none of his employees would get hurt.

Tenuvil had checked the head works to make sure everything was secure. Unprocessed sewage spewing everywhere would likely not be pleasant. He inspected the primary settlers, being careful to check everything off on his list. All seemed well. He then walked over to the sludge tank where the heaviest solids were refined. Taking a gaze down into the tank to make sure all was well, he watched as the machinery did it's job.

"I've worked here for a while, but I still think that is still by far the sickest shit ever!" Tenuvil thought.

Just then, Tenuvil felt a floating sensation. Four hands had grabbed him and were throwing him in!

"PUT ME DOWN OH FUCK NOOO!!!!!!" Tenuvil screamed as he was thrown down into the vat of sludge.

Tenuvil landed head first in the vat of shit. The workings of the machine, and the viscosity prevented him from ever drawing breath again.

Hah, was that demise inspired by Darwin???
Crappy Driving Award
2000 Darwin Award Nominee
Confirmed True by Darwin

(9 October 1999, Maine) Some men die peacefully in bed, while others suffer less pleasant ends. 23-year-old Benjamin lost his life in one of the most unappetizing manners possible when he careened into a 400,000-gallon tank of raw sewage on Friday night. Police speculated that he was driving his 1998 Mazda pickup much too fast to make the sharp right turn in front of the wastewater treatment plant. He was apparently exceeding the speed limit by a generous margin, as his momentum carried him through a chain link fence, across an easement, and through a low post-and-rail fence surrounding the tank of decomposing sewage. Divers located his body beside his upright pickup on the bottom of the 16-foot deep tank. The autopsy failed to provide a conclusive cause for death, but we speculate they will find he died from "taking too much crap".

Nobody knows the troubles...

Nobody started climbing the stairs to his apartment. He was tired from pretending to be interested in classes all day. He was quite ready to just hang out in IRC and harang people. He after a brisk climb up 4 flights of stairs to his apartment, 4E, he was in no mood for any interruptions.

He fished his keys out of his coat pocket, and in one motion threw the door open and his backpack onto the couch. His next motion, as automatically prescribed was to turn the lights on in his dim apartment. Today, the lightswitch didn't work.

A muffled robotic sounding voice said, "Never mind the lights, close the door!"

Nobody, not being so much a fool himself tried to quickly bolt out the door, but was stopped when a warning shot was fired over his shoulder.

"That's not a good idea. Now sit down." the robotic voice continued, "We don't want to kill you, we just want some information."

"Uhhh I have no idea what you're talking about, I know nothing." nobody nervously replied.

"Sit down, put your feet up." said another robotic voice.

nobody sat down on his usual couch, and put his feet on the coffee table.

Two figures in full black bodysuits appeared from the shadows of his apartment. At their mouths were a round plastic device presumably to disguise their voice. These people did not want to be found out at all.

The larger one said, "Now you will tell us who the mafia are or we can do this the hard way."

"I told you I don't know shit, go bother some other dumbass." nobody said.

"Wrong answer..."

The larger figure took a sledgehammer from his back, and in a very quick motion, struck it down on nobody's reclining legs, bending the knee joint the other way.

nobody was obviously in way too much pain to speak, and would be for days likely.

"Oh fuck it." the smaller figure said, whipping out a gun.

"Bitches and hos!" nobody said with his last breath.

One bullet at point blank through the forehead was enough to get rid of any doubt about nobody's alive or dead status.

The Mafia then went home and had cake.

RIP citizen nobody.

noel does a large faceplant.

noel was mentally preparing himself for the large work ahead of him - ferreting out the mafia that infest this town. He was riding his new touring bike down around the mountain roads. This usually cleared his mind enough to put him in an acceptable state to think about such grim matters.

The adrenaline rushed through him as he raced down the mountain path at 40 mph. Leaning into the turns, he was exhiliarated by the moment. Comming around yet another hairpin turn, he noticed the long straightaway and the turn at the end. He thought it would be a good idea to not take this one at full speed, so he braked in pulses. As he got close to the end of the straightaway, and close to the next hairpin turn, he had noticed something that he heard before but didn't pay attention to - the distinct sound of another set of wheels moving at high speed on pavement.

Looking down, he saw a man in a black jumpsuit on a road louge (sp?). He tried to outmaneuver but it was too late. The man quickly shoved a wrench into his spokes. Almost instantly, the bike and noel were flung into the air and over the edge of the turn.

Image

The mafia rode on, knowing that they would not find his body for a few days out here.

RIP Detective noel.

Well, I'm not sure why anyone would accuse me of anythign so horrid, but I see I have to show my innocence, and as you can see below, there is no way I could have committed this crime!

Due to the inclimate weather which did not allow for my usual pastime of Canoeing (darn NE US in the Winter), I spent Saturday icefishing on a beautiful lake:

<img src="http://www.governor.state.mn.us/kids/Ic ... aiting.jpg" border="0" />

Unfortunately towards the end of the day I slipped and fell on the ice and ended up with a broken leg and had to spend the night in the hospital

<img src="http://casls.uoregon.edu/clipart_files/ ... %20leg.gif" border="0" />

Good news is I got to eat my freshly caught fish and lay in bad all day Sunday as my friend cooked it for me!

<img src="http://www.pamf.org/images/sutter/woman_cooking152.jpg" border="0" />

So, as you can see, I was simply too busy to perform the acts that I am being accused of!

Defense closed!

THe motive for Shaerra I can see. I'm going to have to vote guilty for the murder of Noel, unless her defense brings it out.

But I don't see Canoe having a reason Tenuvil, I'd probably suspect someone from game one that was getting revenge on the winner. I'd need further evidence. Not guilty.

Shaerra - Edited for now
Canoe - Not Guilty

Shaerra: Not Guilty (outing herself as Noel's lover is likely to get her killed by the mafia in an excitingly gruesome, yet strangely beautiful way)

Canoe: Not Guilty (The Defense swayed me through a mesmerizing use of visual aids)

Shaerra really hates noel so she has a good motive! Please citizens, fry her!
Nothing could be farther from the truth. Over the last week Noel and I had not only made up...we became lovers. Noel was on his way to our secluded moutain cabin. We met there because he feared that teh fnord would find out about our torrid love affair.

It wasn't me. I was at the cabin all night preparing his bath and the shaving cream for his legs.

OH MY DEAR NOEL! WHO COULD HAVE DONE SUCH A THING?!11!one!!!eleven!!uno!!!

Not trying to point any fingures or anything, but I heard that Winnow found out about Noel and I. But he couldn't...could he?!?!
