Mafia - Second Game - OVER

Okay, I'm starting the second game of Mafia now. The Rules are as follows -

Post here "I'm in" if you would like to play.

We'll get several peopl to sign up, and after that I will pick Mafia, Detectives, and Citizens. (At random - No bribes accepted, thanks for trying though people.

)

Your roles are as follows:

Citizens: Try to figure out who the Mafia are, but at the same time stay alive. During every game day, there will be a trial. Try to vote wisely.

Detective: Your job is to bring the Mafia to justice. At the beginning of each day I will ask for who you wish to bring to trial. Send me your choice, and it shall be so.

You are allowed to present evidence, which I will reword to prevent writing style analysis at each trial. Should you die, the game will end, and the Mafia will kill all the townspeople. Not being found out is a good thing. Obviously all communications with me of this nature should be done in PM. Posting "I wanna bring nobody to trial" in the forum thread is a bad thing.

Mafia: Your job is to kill everyone including the detective. Each game night, you should confer with your partner and PM me who the mafia kills. Please work together. Remember, if you two think logically together, you have an advantage. I don't want to see Mafia A telling me to off Jose, and then Mafia B telling me to off Billy. Come to a consensus before PMing me please. Should you succeed in killing off the detective, you win and get to kill off all the townsfolk.

NOTE: I do take requests for methods of execution. This includes you Detective.

With that explanation, I will begin signups. Post an acknowledgement or "I'm in" or something here. Signups will end 6PM PST Monday, at which point I will make my choices and the Mafia will make their first kill.

I will put up my current VVs for this game-100. They will be distributed amongst the winner(s). If you would like to see more, feel free to give me some VVs, and I will add them to the pot.

Rules and stuff for this game:

There will be 3 pairs of Mafia, and 3 detectives. Each pair knows who they are but not who the other mafia are. They seek the elimination of the other mafia and the detectives. The detectives all know who they are and can bring 2 people to trial each day. They should feel free to bring evidence to trial. (PM me with it if you want it presented.)

Mafia have to PM me their kills.

As of now we have about 30 people...

I've never seen this many people playing...This should be good.

But I'm not quite sure what to do now, so I'm going to open up a discussion...We have till monday to decide this.

When it's less than about 18 people, there is one group of 2 mafia, and 1 detective. When it's 20 people, we create 2 gangs of mafia who each kill off one person, and 2 detectives that work together, still 1 trial each day.

I think extending that out linearly will make it way too confusing.

That would make 3 gangs of 2 mafia, and 3 detectives. Presumably with that mafy mafia loose I would let the detectives convene, and put 2 people on trial a day.

Is this what you all want? Or:

We could make 2 gangs of 3 mafia and 3 detectives...

I'd like some discussion of this, and then I will decide...

I'll do some research into this as I am slightly less experienced in hosting games of mafia...Perhaps there are other elements I can introduce.
